Willows Shopping Center In Concord Trying Really Hard To Impress Walnut Creek By Adding Philz Coffee, Mendocino Farms, Fish Grill

Several new businesses are set to open at The Willows Shopping Center on Diamond Blvd. in Concord, as part of a major remodel between Eureka! and the UFC Gym. Cold Stone Creamery, Philz Coffee, Fish Grill, and Mendocino Farms have all signed leases and are expected to move in once renovations are complete. Additionally, as previously reported, Airport Home Appliance will take over the former Cost Plus space.

Cold stone is so dang overpriced. Philz coffee is the only decent business coming in. They have good coffee.

LOL – Philz is equally as overpriced as Coldstone.

This post does not address my liberal need for a Gavin Newsom gift shop and Tim Walz restaurant! How dare Concord open this! Now I’m going to cry!

is the UFC Gym still open now that Sunvalley turned the 24 hour fitness into a UFC Gym too?

Another Cold Stone?!🤦🏻‍♀️
That place sucks! So overpriced and the ice cream is trash. Homemade ice cream is a billion times better!
Never heard of Philz Coffee or Mendocino Farms. I don’t mind those.
California Fish Grill is great!
Airport Home Appliance–those stores are always empty. We don’t need another appliance store.

imho – Philz coffee is good but overpriced and same for Mendocino Farms (there’s one on YVR in WC) Calif Fish Grill is ok – there’s one in Orchards on YVR in WC too

Well, Mendocino Farms has some tasty meals.
Have not tried Philz Coffee or Fish Grill but will do so.
Will be nice to have these places nearby.
Thinking that the new location for Airport Home Appliance will be a plus.

Mendecino is awful. You get a 1/4 cup of cold soup to go with your unhealthy bacon filled shrunken sandwich.. Their excuse is we burned ourselves on cold soup. Overpriced and rude. Stay away!

In a college marketing class we studied The Willows in a section called “Marketing Mistakes”. They had spent a ton on marketing research, but neglected to ask survey respondents if they would cross the freeway from Sun Valley to shop. Well, the answer proved to be no, and it’s struggled ever since.
Now the survey question should be, “Will you shop at an outdoor mall next to the crime-ridden Veranda?” The majority answer would likely be “No”.
