DeSaulnier Demands Answers From ICE After Arrests At Concord Immigration Court

Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-10) has sent a formal letter to the Acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), urgently requesting a meeting and detailed information about recent enforcement actions in Concord.

The request follows reports that on Tuesday, June 10, federal officers from both ICE and the FBI arrested four alleged asylum-seekers outside the Concord Immigration Court immediately after their scheduled hearings.

In his letter, DeSaulnier expressed strong concern over the arrests:

“I am deeply disappointed that your agency is targeting individuals who are following legal procedures by appearing in court—exactly what proponents of immigration enforcement claim to support. Actions like these will only push vulnerable people further into the shadows and discourage court participation. We should be building trust in the legal system, not undermining it with fear.”

DeSaulnier also emphasized the contributions of immigrants to his district and the broader Bay Area economy, particularly in the tech sector:

“Our region thrives because of immigrants—many of whom came here seeking freedom and opportunity. This aggressive approach to enforcement is especially harmful in communities like ours that value inclusion, economic growth, and basic human dignity.”

To address these concerns, DeSaulnier requested the following information:

  • The number of individuals arrested at the Concord Immigration Court since January 20, 2025.
  • The current location of each detainee, and whether they remain in the United States.
  • The detention facilities being used for these individuals, especially in light of reported overcrowding.
  • Whether those with active asylum claims will be allowed to continue their legal proceedings after detention.

DeSaulnier also requested a meeting with the Acting ICE Director to discuss the incident and its broader implications. “Our community will not be intimidated by tactics that promote fear, division, and disregard for due process. We expect transparency, accountability, and answers.”

An ICE spokesperson said the detainees were already under deportation orders. The spokesperson also criticized the Biden administration, blaming it for the current immigration backlog.

Deportation Orders are Binding and not easy to get, they Trump Asylum claims made after they have been given a Deportation Order.Should Asylum claims even be allowed after a Deportation Order has been given? Or is it just another case of trying to tie up the legal system and waste some more Taxpayer Dollors?

Well. I demand an answer from the DeSaulniet as why he thought that allowing 10 million illegal aliens to slip through our border in the last 4 years was okay! And I guess he was okay that Obama deported over 3 million illegal aliens. You don’t hear about that!

Perhaps it’s time for Marky to retire.

I’m not sure, but maybe we could hold a town hall event to figure it out.

Retire from screwing the american people. He was elected to carry out the will of the people not his own

Abe,
.
Do you really want to end up with the corrupt, lying, preacher and State Senator Tim Grayson for a few decades? The TRASH that is Tim Grayson is much worse than Mark DeSaulnier!

How does this help Sen Padilla get his manhood back after trying to intimidate a woman and being put on his face yesterday?

Go back to sleep mark, your ineffectiveness need not be displayed today.

Predicate your sentences with mother may I.

OK…. I’ll make a small concession.
Pour me a whiskey Barkeep….”No Ice!”

Gee no condemnation for the violent folks attacking LEO and stealing badges what a shocker from Democrats.

Never trust a (democrat) politician…..

Never trust a polititian period. Most republicans have sold out a long time ago as well. That’s why they hate Trump on both sides of the aisle because he won’t sell out and acts to benefit this country and it’s people; as opposed to the agenda of the sold out ones, who act in detriment of this country and it’s poeple in so they can achieve their ‘new world order’

How about you demand answers from your own colleague who order the assasinations on the American people?
