ConFire Engine 6 is on the scene of a quarter acre vegetation fire near the area of the end of Franquette Ave, in Concord. Captain 6 has requested a full vegetation fire response. This was originally called in to CHP, by a passersby.

Please avoid the area. Thanks to the anonymous Claycordian for the photo. Our text line is currently not sending outgoing messages, so we can’t reply, but we want you to know that we thank you for the photo.

Along the 242, we can all guess who started this!

yup… the large homeless population around there that costs us hundreds of thousands each year our of our tax dollars ….can’t any of our officials put an end to the continued arson?!

One of the off-road capable fire trucks came flying south on Pacheco Blvd. To proceed they had to move into the oncoming lane. I was right there and could see the expression on the driver’s face as he went by. That guy was really careful and really focused, yet really moving.
Seconds count.
