Today, Saturday, June 14, Contra Costa Fire, with assistance from Moraga-Orinda Fire District, will conduct an eight-acre prescribed fire on Saklan Ridge in the Rossmoor area. The prescribed fire is part of the Lafayette-Walnut Creek Shaded Fuel Break project. It aims to reduce fuel loads, eliminate invasive plant species, and lower fire risks during Red Flag weather events. Crews will conduct operations until 5:00 p.m. Some light smoke may be visible in nearby areas during the prescribed burn. If you or someone in your household is sensitive to smoke, we recommend keeping windows and doors closed and limiting outdoor activity during the operation. If you see smoke within the designated area, please do not call 911 — our crews are on scene and actively managing the operations. However, if you see smoke or fire outside the planned area, or if something doesn’t look right, please call 911 immediately.

Thanks for the smoke and the gas from leaf blowers. WC dems showing their true colors of stupidity. Pffft

The ‘King’ said we need to rake the forest. Appears we are listening to the ‘King’! Let’s get out and protest for no Kings! LOL
