Sad … but I always wonder why there are so many solo vehicle accidents where they leave the roadway and don’t make it … on Kirker, on the 680 fwy in the San Ramon / Danville area …. are they mostly medical emergencies? intentional?
It is peculiar how many are single deaths…makes you for sure wonder.
On Kirker Pass. I venture to say it is speed. I once tested it by going about 5 mph at the top of the crest and just letting the car pick up speed to see how fast it would go on its own. I was going 80 by the time I got down the hill. If you reach the top of the hill going 65, I Can only Imagine how fast you’d be going.
This had to be 100% speed related, I drove by the wreckage and honestly had a hard time determining exactly what I was looking at. The car was so mangled and pieces were everywhere, I’ve seen crushed cans more intact than that car. I’d have to say it flipped multiple times and hit several trees in the process. RIP to the driver and please slow down and stop driving crazy to all those that need to hear it.
I drove by it too and agree, it was so mangled I almost couldn’t tell there was a vehicle. So sad. Everyone speeds and rides your bumper if you aren’t willing to push past 70mph.
Isn’t this the 3rd fatal accident on Kirker/Bailey in the past couple of months?
Is there any other information about the driver, the family? Do we know what happened?
Was the person in the crash identified yet
