At what point do idle threats have to be validated? When President Potato was saying to Russia “Don’t” (Before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, President Biden issued a series of strong warnings to Russia and President Putin not to invade, outlining the severe consequences that would follow.

Key statements made by Biden to Russia included:

  • Threat of decisive response and severe costs: Biden explicitly told Putin that the United States and its allies would “respond decisively and impose swift and severe costs on Russia” if an invasion occurred.
  • Warning of widespread human suffering: He emphasized that a further Russian invasion would “produce widespread human suffering and diminish Russia’s standing” in the world.
  • Emphasis on unity with allies: Biden stressed the importance of a united response from the United States and NATO allies to any Russian aggression.
  • Clarification on “minor incursion”: Following initial comments that caused concern, Biden clarified that any Russian military forces moving across the Ukrainian border would be considered an invasion and would be met with a severe and coordinated economic response.

) and nothing happened…… Ukraine was invaded anyway…. When Cheetos gives you 60 days to respond and you don’t then consequences occur. I do not like war but when dad says clean up your room and you tell him to “shove off” well then you are going to get an education “like it or not”. Personal feelings aside I think they needed to be slap started. If I could give an educated guess I think the big man made a statement and this will quietly into the night.

Fully Agree! I’m proud of President Trump and the moral resolve of America!
This action probably has saved 10 million lives! I am very angry at American democrat politicians who say they needed to be notified first. First? Why, those slime buckets probably would have notified Iran and goofed up the entire operation! Trump was right!

I’m was a bit conflicted, fearing it would just inflame the situation. However, Iran is not an honest broker. One of my good friends is from Iran, her brother still lives there, she is not a Trump supporter by any stretch of the imagination, however she approved this. Said the Iranian government is evil, does not care about the people, (which we all know is the case) and the people are very unhappy with it’s leader’

Just heard on the news that Israel and Iran have agreed to a total cease fire, so it seems it has turned for the best.
P.S. My friend’s brother is safe he and his family left Tehran, for a vacation home they own in the north of Iran.

When I went to India in the 1990s the plane flew over Iran. Desertly looking like eastern Washington.

It was a risky and incredibly expensive mission,
so anything less than total destruction probably wasn’t
worth the cost to us taxpayers.
But if we did stop their program dead cold, then
Yes, I agree with the decision.
Religious zealots of any faith shouldn’t
be allowed access to local extinction weaponry.

How was this an expensive mission? The equipment and personnel are already paid for. The MOAB bombs are $170,000 each or $2,380,000 total for 14 bombs dropped. We also fired 30 submarine-launched Tomahawk cruise missiles which are $2.4 million each or $72 million of missiles. The United States spends about $2 billion per day on the military. Operation Midnight Hammer barely registers on the economic scale.

Totally agree and it’s about time. Iran has been at war with us (“the great Satan”) since 1979.

I said years ago that Iran should be made a big hole because they would be a major headache.

Iran had stopped their bomb development when the the Iranian Nuclear agreement was signed and sanctions were stopped. During his first term Trump falsely claimed they were violating the agreement. The rest of the world did not agree with Trump. Trump tore up the agreement and re-implented sanctions. Trump is the reason Iran is enriching its nuclear fuel.

Now Iran will attack us.

Doh, do you work for Al Jazeera?
“Trump falsely claimed”?

I believe what Trump said was that it was a “terrible, one-sided deal” that benefited Iran much more than the US.
The agreement was the “worst ever” and “defective at its core with sunset clauses that would eventually allow Iran to resume enrichment without oversight, and it failed to address ballistic missiles, regional behavior, or Iran’s support for militant proxies”.
“Trump also cited long-standing Israeli and Saudi criticisms, claiming that Iran had used the relief from sanctions to bankroll terrorism and military operations across the Middle East”

No more TACO’s!!!

wholly agree. I wish little o had bombed them with MOABs instead of pallets of cash. Iran is no friend to the US, or any civil society.
