QUESTION: When was the last time you attended or watched a city council meeting, or some other type of city/county/school board meeting?

I make presentations at Planning Commission, City Council and Architectural Design Review Board meetings throughout the year. The last one was last month, in Hillsborough. The next one will be later this month, in Martinez.

I meant “later next month”

Haven’t, BUT it appears the city I believed was doing so well, Clayton,
is in desperate need of ADULT SUPERVISION

pre government forced shutdown. I’d say close to 2016-2018. Do not remember the agenda, approval of some building. It was for Concord, while Edi was mayor.

I always wanted to be active in Concord’s local government.
Then I saw the horrific personalities of the City Council behind the scenes.
They bullied staff, made unreasonable demands, and behaved like tyrants.
A few are still on the Council.
These are not people of good character values.
Their public persona is likable, but behind closed doors, they are horrible people.
Just like every other corrupt, cheating, lying, deceiving, and despicable politician.

I used to enjoy and get frustrated watching Conord’s council meetings.
Hellen Allen was the only interesting distraction,
but not in a good way. Most of the time.
But she’d go for the joke
which I can appreciate. 🤓

I watch all Concord city Council meetings and most Planning Commission meetings.

Less than a year ago for WC – they’re always well scripted & choreographed until it comes to public comments… many are lapdogs but you can get the real wackos – council members need to watch their 6 sometimes

Between 2007-2009, I attended several Concord City Council meetings regarding the Cowell Smokestack. I also attended a lot of HOA meetings during that time.
