QUESTION: This one is just for fun. Nobody wants to rename the road (Karen Mitchoff, don’t get any ideas). We all love the name Ygnacio Valley Rd. BUT, if you could rename Ygnacio Valley Rd. for a day, what would you name it? Fun Fact – It was almost named “highway 24 extension,” and before it was named Ygnacio, it was called the “Freeway to Pittsburg.” Your answer can be serious, funny, etc. If we had to choose, we’d probably say Mt. Diablo Parkway.

No toll for those living in the city limits of Concord, Walnut Creek or Clayton? Yes.
As an almost 50 year resident of Clayton, I figure I’ve driven something like 150,000 – 200,000 miles on YVR.
