QUESTION: Last night, 4 people were killed and over a dozen were shot during a mass shooting in Chicago, but for some reason, it’s not all over the news. It did make the news, but not like it would if it happened in other cities. If this happened in Concord, it would be “front-page” National news for days. People are people, it doesn’t matter where they’re from. As of 12 p.m. today, the story isn’t even on the main homepage for CNN, Fox, MSNBC, ABC News, Google and Yahoo. However, 2 of those sites did talk about the elephant that killed 2 people in Zambia. Why do you think the National news ignores all the horrible stories coming out of Chicago?

Because there are too many murders in Chicago. Just another day in Chicago, and most of the murders are gang related.

Because people don’t care. And people only have the ability to absorb so much negative information at one time. Have you heard about “alligator Alcatraz”? Where is the outrage for that? “People are people, doesn’t matter where they’re from”…hmm interesting
People do care they just don’t care about everything that ouragages you, why would anyone be outraged over “Alligator Alcatraz”?: Keep the criminals in jail where they belong!

But, yes, not much coverage, … maybe due to the “BBB” and 2 trials mentioned over and over again.
Are people just getting numb from all these uncalled-for murders? I’m sadden.
Mass shootings have become so common that it’s not surprising anymore. I for one, cannot keep up with them. If and when I read about one, it’s usually just the headline, I will move on to the next story and forgot completely all about it.
It’s really too bad that it’s gotten this bad, but it could be a good thing that it doesn’t make the big headlines because it can encourage copycat shootings.
With so much violence happening in our country lately, it makes me wonder if RFK Jr. is really onto something about all the chemicals in our food. Violence, as bad as it is these days, was unheard of when I was growing up. Something is causing it, and it could very well be chemicals, and pesticides in our food and water. Maybe and maybe not, but if RFK Jr. succeeds in getting the chemicals out of the food, and if in 10 to 20 years later there is a drop in violent crime, we will know.
As Lightfood once said, these killers come from republican states and make Chicago and their democrats look bad.

I have not heard anything about the Chicago massacre last night, except this Claycord artcle and it is now 7:00 p.m.on the 3rd.
They probably found a manifesto. And we know what that usually means.
I guess a white guy didnt shoot anyone so what happened isnt even illegal in Chicago or any blue city.
I suspect for a number of reasons. 1) media cannot get any kind of anti-white/anti-Trump (or Bush) mileage out of it, as these are a common occurrence; 2) these are a common occurrence in Chicago. 573 people were killed there in 2024; 3) media get much more mileage with their slanted/false reporting on enforcement actions or language in the recently House passed bill. 4) given gun control laws in Chicago, media cannot push for more (useless) gun control laws, even after this cowardly drive by that left 4 families mourning the loss of loved ones.
Because it is black on black crime and it is white people that are the bad ones “not dirt bags in general”. I hate to say that but it has been the theme since Obama that we are divided and it can only be white peoples fault so can’t show other crime. I honestly thought racism would die in my lifetime but nope…my mistake. At a rap concert… imagine that. sad
