QUESTION: In your opinion, did the amount of illegal fireworks in your neighborhood increase or decrease since last year?

Vast increase, west Clayton was WW3 for almost 2 hours.
Oh, … increased!
Been going on for YEARS, before and after the 4th.
But now longer, louder, and bigger.
Despite it being on a Friday this year – surprisingly there was a decrease
Big increase – not just one or two here and there, but full-on private fireworks shows in the street. And some of these went on for a long time.
They increased a little bit, some were tossed outside my living room window, making a bright flash of light and a loud bang, but they don’t really bother me too much. Counting New Year’s Eve, it’s only twice a year. It’s too bad that the fireworks scare dogs, I feel for the little pooches. If the city or county was serious about keeping fireworks illegal, they would be out enforcing the law, but they don’t. If I can see fireworks exploding in the air, so can the police, but I don’t see the cops driving to the location and making any arrests. It’s like selective enforcement, where the cops pick and choose what laws to enforce. If they don’t care, then why should I care? In the words of Rhett Butler, “frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”

yes, by a LONG shot. The most ridiculous thing is the online firework reporting for the Concord PD. Ridiculous. Nobody comes out, nobody puts a stop to it, nobody cares….but you can spin your wheels on the website reporting it.
There was a fire reported on the night of the 4th on Camara Circle off of Detroit Ave. Reportedly an apartment building on fire. 4 or 5 fire trucks responded. WHILE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS THERE people were shooting off professional fireworks from the park in the middle of the complexes! Mere yards away from the reported fire.
Tell me that the CPD gave a crap about illegal fireworks. They don’t.
First responders may well have been busy with burns or missing digits.
Usually alcohol is involved and Mr. Invincible appears . . . . .
Unfortunately it was much less, didnt get a backyard show this year really at all.
Increase in Sun Terrace area. Numerous displays around & behind Rocketship Academy. Gets worse every year.
