Temperatures are expected to soar across inland parts of the Bay Area this weekend, with Concord and surrounding communities bracing for a potentially dangerous heat wave. Starting Thursday, highs will climb rapidly, reaching around 100 degrees on both Thursday and Friday. The extreme heat is expected to peak late in the week before easing slightly into the weekend. According to meteorologists, this heat event is being driven by a strong ridge of high pressure building over California, pushing temperatures well above seasonal averages. While coastal areas will enjoy some relief thanks to cooler marine air, inland cities like Concord, Walnut Creek, and Livermore are in for sweltering conditions. Forecasters warn that the combination of high temperatures and low humidity could also increase fire danger in the region. Seeking professional HVAC services in Yucaipa, CA may be necessary for residents to stay comfortable at home.
Relief may come by Saturday, with temperatures dipping into the low 90s and upper 80s by Sunday. Still, officials urge residents to stay vigilant—limit time outdoors during the hottest part of the day, drink plenty of water, and check on elderly neighbors, kids, and pets.

Is it winter time yet?
i really cant stand summer heat.
It’s a shame that the news media learned how to panic the population with their dire warnings about weather. I recall in my 20s, the news radio jock would issue warnings if there was a light dusting of snow. Heat warnings did not become a thing until one summer, then any time the temperature approached 95. Nowadays, seems 99 is a scorcher, but if it crosses into 100, it becomes extreme. 1 degree separates us from uncomfortable to in danger. I currently am in a locale where the average is 106-110. People are about, living their lives just fine.
Prepping everyone for the “Stay inside / we are all in this together” bologna!!! Wasn’t the BBQ or Craft beer event canceled in Martinez last year because of so called high temps??
Climate Crisis as a result of the Big Bill. LOL.
Hopefully those night time lows stick. Makes days in the 90’s very bearable.
I would have thought the “tic-tac-toe” planes would have been out but then the sky is already hazy milky blue.
