A vehicle fire broke out on Ridge Park Ct. in Concord around 9:05 a.m. this morning, drawing a response from Contra Costa County Fire Protection District (ConFire). The blaze, described as stubborn, took firefighters approximately 30 minutes to fully extinguish. Despite the intensity of the fire, no injuries were reported. Thanks to a quick response from ConFire, the flames were contained before spreading to nearby structures or vegetation. Claycord would like to thank the anonymous Claycordian who shared a photo from the scene.

Dang, the hood snapped
or melted in half.
The fire dept /police can not go into a burning car if theres nobody inside to rescue,so they can’t pull the hood release and the cable was probably melting,,so they took their giant circular saw and cut the hood open to make sure the fire was out.See the nice need line….
I just learned some s**t.

Was it an electric car? They are infamous for spontaneous combustion that is very toxic and difficult to extinguish.
