not really. Too many rules and regulations from the HOA and the monthly due increases pretty much every year.

… I did… but with all the unrestrained growth, including the high rise high densities, not so much anymore…. infrastructure was designed and built for half the population (in the ’60’s & 70’s) …. no local city has invested to keep up with the growth – and “deferred maintenance” is now the norm ….. sad… looking more like socal by the day

Yes, location and home is great. Just the right size.
Possible purchase coming. TBD where and if. Just moved April after twenty years to downsize.
More decisions to make starting next month. Own two. Smaller of the two homes in Tracy in good area.
Smaller one 14k property size home and land.
Second and the other parcel 33k including home and land.
For me, it’s going to come down to what’s practical in all aspects. Pros and Cons.

My home is fine, as is my neighborhood, with many friendly neighbors. My house is smaller than I would like, and too cluttered (nothing I can do about that, as much as i try, she likes Amazon way too much). It will not be bittersweet when I leave this house, though, in the next couple years, as the “state neighborhood” has become entirely too burdensome with taxes. I do not see any improvement into that part of living here and will relocate to an area where I have to give less of my treasure to a corrupt collection of thieves that call themselves legislators.

Nice neighborhood and families. The problem is high taxes and too many people living in single family homes. The roads are not properly maintained which seems to be a given here in Concord.
I like where I live. I have the best neighbors anyone could ask for.

Meh. Pretty far from stuff.
But traffic delays are usually farm equipment.
So that’s nice. No great restaurants though.
Yeah…meh.

We have lived in Clayton for almost 50 years and love it. We bought our house before we had children and then raised 5 of them in it. The house seems the right size for just the two of us now. We have great neighbors, a nice quiet neighborhood and much of our family close by. This state is dysfunctional, but the area is great and close to everything we need and want. The only reason I could see us moving is if most of the family moved to another area, then we would too.

I do to the extent it’s a quiet street and convenient to family and medical. However as the neighborhood turns over due to people fleeing the bay area, the character has changed. Stuffy, self important, free range children etc.

I used to, but neighbors have changed in time and they are all thoughtless Dems. They love to blow you out with a leafblower every week for almost 2 hours, gossip and make up lies when they find out you no longer want to be around them.

The SF Bay Area has become unlivable for so many reasons, so after 20 years living in Concord and bringing up our family there, we moved to another state 4 years ago and have no intention of returning to live there.

No I hate where I live. Im sick of california and its politics. plus all the low income apartments being built is an eye sore.
Wait till you see the people and cars that go with those apartments.
Yeah really i saw u haul said 51 percent of people using u haul trucks were moving ouT of california.

Why shouldn’t people live in single family homes?
