Back on Fridays again?

Dr. Jellyfinger reminds me of zoidberg from that cartoon futurama the lobster dr.

Zoidberg? Geez…. that’s not even human.
Dr. Hartman maybe, but Zoidberg?

Cowellian’s first.

Happy Friday, Mr Mayor and Dr Jelly!

Happy Saturday Cowellian. Any truth to the rumor you guys are getting In ‘n Out Burger in Tennessee?

I know In ‘n Out is building a new headquarters in Franklin, just south of Nashville. We’ve been promised a number of In ‘n Outs throughout the area, but I haven’t seen one yet. I am looking forward to my next double-double.

Whataburger has already moved into the area, but I’m not a fan.

Remember when music was fun? Wasn’t all that long ago.

“Life During Wartime” great song…. but fun?
I kinda like B52’s for that…. I had a real crush on Kate Pierson until I found out she plays for the other team (imagine my disappointment!). I always thought Rush Limbaugh should have used this song for one of his bumper music lead in’s.

Happy weekend, Claycordians! Eggs and buttered sourdough toast for breakfast tomorrow. I’ve started adding a little half-and-half to the eggs as I scramble ’em, and I sprinkle the finished eggs with Cholula. What would you recommend to make eggs special?

For richer and creamier eggs, replace the half-and-half with heavy cream, and scramble them
in butter. Options are sautéed onions and mushrooms. Other options are chopped green onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, and cheese. Experiment with foods you like and enjoy.

I recently found a recipe for scrambled eggs in an old Gourmet Magazine made with sour cream.
Depending on how many eggs, mix the sour cream with chives or the green part of scallions, in advance (up to 1 day). Sautee red pepper (orange or yellow) with chives or green scallions, add the whipped egg stir a bit and then add the sour cream mix. Since I only cook for myself, I usually only use one large or jumbo egg. I add a teaspoon of cream, and about the same for the sour cream.

I like eggs just about any way, but my favorite way to eat eggs is just the egg(s) with a runny yolk. To make it special, put ’em in a burrito shell, and prepare for yolk runnage.

I’m also a fan of the egg yolk and enjoy putting the egg on something for the runny yolk to soak into, including toast or English muffin, corned-beef hash, hashbrowns, or even grits.

For breakfast burritos, I like imperfectly scrambled eggs. I start frying the eggs and let the whites firm up before scrambling them, giving me two-tone eggs.

Professional Breakfasticians call that “Country Scrambled”
(I think most of us just call ’em “Damnit I broke the yolk eggs”)

Leftover Salmon, Green Onions & Monterey Jack Cheese…. no Salmon?
Howsabout some Green Chiles & Cheese?
(and Cholula)
I just had a Denver omelette!

One my Mother-in-Law had done, and I have adopted for Hubby is left over pasta with tomato sauce, pan fried to get a bit of crisp then transfer to plate. Then cook eggs over soft/medium and put on fried pasta.
Sounds weird, but boy, it’s yummy.

Thanks for the responses to my breakfast eggs question. Can’t hardly wait to try them one at a time. Good eatin’ ahead!

No more “bow wow wow” for this guy.

You try your darnedest to keep kids safe,
.
“The little girl had swallowed two small high-powered magnets
on separate occasions, which had locked together inside her stomach.
The magnets caused catastrophic damage to her digestive system as
her bowel leaked into her stomach, as well as severe infection and sepsis.
.
Surgeons drained more than a litre of pus from Millie’s tiny body and
removed the majority of her bowel.”

.
Neodymium disc magnets can be size of a watch battery and only
1 mm thick, they are very strong. Keep out of reach of kids.
.
Great granddaughter is 3 and is well into her exploring stage.
To see if you have a future track star, just ask,
“WHAT have you got in your mouth ! !”

Due to the ruling by the 9th Circuit, FFL
no longer required to buy ammo in CA.
I’d still urge you to reload, but this
is welcome news. I just
did think it’d take this long.
