The “Sound Off” On Claycord – If A Breastfeeding Mom Offends You, Maybe You’re The Boob

It’s 2025, and somehow, there are still people clutching their pearls at the sight of a baby eating. Not screaming, not being disruptive, just eating. From the body that made them. The same people who scroll past half-naked influencers without blinking suddenly lose their minds if a mother dares to nurse her child without a blanket, a booth, or a warning. Let’s be real: if you’re more offended by a woman feeding her baby than you are by, say, actual indecency, violence, or the fact that social media is filled with soft-core ads, the problem isn’t breastfeeding. It’s your priorities. Breastfeeding isn’t obscene. It’s not provocative. It’s not something that needs to be covered up or done in hiding. It’s natural. It’s nurturing. And it’s not really your business. If the sight of a baby eating from its mother makes you uncomfortable, here’s a radical idea: look away.

The “SOUND OFF” on Claycord.com is basically a “Letters to the Editor,” but with a kick to it. We’ll post items that might not otherwise make it in your local paper. It’s a way to voice one’s opinions freely and vigorously. If you have something you’d like to SOUND OFF about, email us at news@claycord.com, and we’ll consider posting. We will add no commentary. All opinions expressed are the opinions of the person sounding off, and not the opinions of Claycord.com, its advertisers or anyone else besides the person sounding off.

Mothers feeding their never bothers me at all. It’s natural for a mother and child.

If someone is bothered, they should leave and refrain from commenting.

Some people need to develop some good character values.

I remember back in the 80’s when I was a bartender there were a couple ladies and a baby seated outside in the patio area and I went out to greet them, give them a couple menu’s & get them some drinks… (who knows where the waitress was).
Anyway one of the ladies was breastfeeding the kid and looking at me (obviously expecting some reaction) and I just told her ” Sorry Mam but nobody is allowed to bring their own food here” They gave me a courtesy giggle.

anyone doing this in public is a complete nutjob looking for a problem while carrying a baby.If you know the baby needs that you should be at home..what ,do you have a job right now that you need to get to with your baby?

Yikes

On baby blanket and the problem is solved. The infant does not like being on display either, the comfort of a baby blanket helps them relax. I always covered out of decency and to avoid pervs, but that was the 80’s when people cared about others.
