This seems to be a daily thing. Concord Blvd. in Concord is blocked near Bishop Estates due to an injury crash. No further details are currently available from police, but neighbors are saying this might have followed some police activity in the area.
Big thanks to our fellow Claycordian for the photo from the scene!

… with so many incidents lately maybe LE should be doing a saturation patrol for a while?
Maybe the city planners should be held accountable for turning Concord “B” into a slalom course, just to receive Fed. grants, they destroyed Concord “B”.
The F’n bike lane in the way nobody uses it and i causes accidents but cities run on turmoil and accidents,it creates revenue and is welcomed by Concord, and all blue cities.
If I drove on a normal street in the same manner with which I have to employ on Concord B. I would be sited for DUI. What was once a great Ave. is now totally FUBAR. And for what? A mere handful of cyclists?
Slow down ?
No, it’s the drivers, duh
Duck,
.
It was California’s “Complete Streets” law which required the City of Concord to add all of these underused and unused bike lanes to roadways throughout Concord. The City of Concord didn’t have a choice, but it’s not like those who run the city would’ve fought back against the state if they had the courage and opportunity to do so. Only the City of Huntington Beach seems to have the courage to fight back against the state.
When you come to Concord to commit crime, please research the streets better..kay?
That is all.
Sadly, negative comments always seem to outnumber positive comments. Dear Concord, I have been living here since January 1946, and I will always appreciate Concord. Accidents are caused by careless drivers, you do know that, right? Please don’t unjustly blame the city officials nor the Concord PD. Take responsibility. If you are a poor driver, stop driving!
Everyone seemed to negotiate Concord B just fine before the changes.
Its ridiculous now.
So funny reading the comments to the previous accident and now this. So is the problem people driving too fast around that curve to see people who dangerously pull out onto the boulevard from side streets, or is it the bike lane which has zero affect at that part of the road? Everyone just looking for any reason but personal accountability in my opinion.
Not sure what happened, but based on my daily commute I see speed, distracted drivers, and very aggressive drivers. Add to it people under the influence of alcohol and or drugs makes for a dangerous drive on our highways and byways.
If someone wants to be a total jackass so be it, leave the rest of us out of it. If you have a death wish go for it & hopefully you will end up in jail as you have no business on the road.
I feel for law enforcement and 1st responders who have to deal with this nonsense non stop.
