Around 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Brentwood police responded to a report of mail theft at the Blossom Apartment complex on Alder Creek Way. Officers found 35-year-old Robert Cabrerapulos of Pittsburg and 42-year-old Tanis Wallunas of Concord, and a search of their vehicle uncovered more than 40 stolen pieces of mail from local addresses, along with burglary tools, drugs, and drug paraphernalia, according to police. Both suspects were arrested on charges including burglary, mail theft, conspiracy, possession of burglary tools, and drug-related offenses, and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. Police credited the arrests to a coordinated effort between officers, advanced technology, and the U.S. Postal Service, saying the quick action sends a strong message that they will use every resource available to catch offenders.

I just envision a truck full of Value Pak coupons, Costco Connections and the local realtor focusing on the sale price of certain houses…

I know there is much more, but I fear these will get a stern look from the judge as she says “Don’t do that again, $50 fine and 30 days probation” in spite of the request from Becton’s crew of a $75 fine and 40 days probation. Too much snark???

Speaking of mail theft, I just read today about a female letter carrier who was stealing mail.
She stole credit and bebit cards, checks, identification cards, drivers licenses, and more.
Then she posted pictures of herself surrounded by stacks of money on social media, and
brags about her new Rolex, and trips to the Carrabean.
She’s facing up to 30 years in federal prison.

How many previous arrests ? ? ?

Good job LE! …now Becton – let’s do the full extent of the law on this one – and no bail until court date?

Tanis is actually from a “Good” Danville Family. Fell in with drugs and has spiraled down ever since. Going to Jail may cause her to reflect on where she is at.

Hopefully he was out looking to steal a belt for himself.

Sounds like the same guy i caught at Ygnacio valley Rd and Clayton prying open the mailbox for about 100 apartments.I hid behind a sign and called the cops. His wife and kids were waiting in their stepside chevy truck with rims. They got about 30 feet out of the property when the truck with rims was spotted without a doubt. They all were taken away.Next time dont drive something so flashy and take the whole family.
