The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office has identified a man who died Tuesday in a vehicle crash in Pleasant Hill. The man was identified as Concord resident Frank Cazares, Jr., 20. Authorities said he died after his vehicle crashed and overturned on the Monument Boulevard off-ramp from northbound Interstate Highway 680 in Pleasant Hill at 8:14 a.m. Tuesday. Investigators determined Cazares was driving a silver Lexus SUV in the slow lane on the highway when he veered right toward the off-ramp, then lost control of the vehicle as it went up an embankment and overturned. Cazares was ejected from the vehicle. Authorities said he was not wearing his seatbelt during the crash.
anything on his immigration status??
Why does that matter. He’s a child
Just as much as his immigration status does not matter, referring to him as a child does not pardon his actions either.
If he is behind the wheel, he needs to make adult decisions. Unfortunately nobody ever taught him how to drive otherwise he would have known to just take the next exit. Missing your turn is not a big deal unless you make it a big deal. In which case he did, by swerving across multiple lanes of traffic at the last second at too high a rate of speed and fatally crashed.
Unfortunate incident thankfully he didnt injure anybody else.
20 years old is not a child. A child is 1-12, teenage is 13-19, adult is 20 and up.
This was a good person we lost here. No need for your ignorant comment here. He worked hard and was doing his best at life like everyone else here. RIP Frank
He didnt seem to care about his own safety or others though,why..bad parenting or just wont follow “the mans” rules? How pointless this is.One seat belt and he could have and would have laughed about this,
I wear my seatbelt because because I dont want to die if i get in a crash. Its a shame he did not wear his seatbelt. Safety first especially if you work hard and have loved ones that care about you and something to live for then you should wear it if you want to increase your chances of surviving a wreck.
Frank was a good kid and people talking bad about him after he is no longer here with us is pathetic, It is so sad he lost his life to this unfortunate accident. He will be missed by so many people ❤️
Good kids can still be irresponsible when they dont have proper guidance.thats the unfortunate part that made this story happen. You put the belt on before you start the car,you dont ignore drivers ed.DMV and common safety and sense.
This means for 4 years he drove without a seat belt and it was just a matter of time before something bad happened. If that was his usual freeway exit it sounds like he was looking down at his phone texting, realized he missed his exit and had no good understand of energy and inertia when he said”I need to go that way,not this way”.
