CreAsian Flavors of Vietnam on Lone Tree Way in Brentwood is back open after a forced closure by the Contra Costa County Health Department due to a rat infestation. Inspectors visited the business after a customer complained about rats in the facility, according to the inspection report. Upon inspection, they found 10+ fresh rat dropping in the storage area, behind shelves, and around flour containers. The manager told inspectors the following day they were able to find and kill 3 rats in the facility. The restaurant was reinspected and reopened.

A recent Yelp review by Mohammad O. also pointed out that rats were in the restaurant: “It’s 9pm I’m going in to get a bowl of pho, as we were seated, not even 2 minutes into sitting down I hear this rustling sound from above me, sounded like a bird flocking, until I look up and see a rat the size of a subway footlong sandwich running across the beam. Ain’t no way I’m staying to eat and find mouse doo doo in my dish.”

Ate there before – food was good…. guess I’ll be looking elsewhere now… too bad

Charlie’s idea of great R&R was cold rice and a little rat meat.
Maybe Charlie should try CreAsian Flavors and leave a review on Yelp!

I guess that changes the thought of what makes the “Flavors of Vietnam” Ewwwww……
