First Major Split In 30 Years: Pediatricians Urge COVID Shots For Kids, Reject Kennedy’s Guidance

For the first time in three decades, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has broken significantly with federal vaccine guidance, issuing new COVID-19 shot recommendations that differ sharply from those of the Trump administration.

The AAP announced Tuesday that it is strongly urging vaccination for children ages 6 months to 2 years, saying that group remains at high risk for severe illness. The group also supports vaccination for older children if parents choose, and for children with chronic conditions such as lung disease. That guidance conflicts with U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who earlier this year said healthy children and pregnant women should no longer get COVID-19 vaccines. The CDC followed with softer language, saying children “may” get the shots but stopping short of recommending them.

Dr. James Campbell, vice chair of the AAP infectious disease committee, acknowledged the conflicting advice may confuse parents. “But our opinion is we need to make the right choices for children to protect them,” said Campbell, an infectious disease expert at the University of Maryland. The AAP, founded in 1930 and based in Itasca, Illinois, has issued pediatric vaccination recommendations since the 1930s and has been aligned with the CDC since 1995. While there have been minor differences over timing — such as recommending HPV vaccines at age 9 instead of 11 or 12 — this is the first major divergence in 30 years.

Remember when Pediatricians said “covid did not affect kids” ?

exactly…
how much money is in it for them?

I remember hearing that kids may not get it as badly. I also remember hearing that kids were more likely to carriers, and that was a big reason for vaccines. Then all the people who thought masks were a joke took the idea of kids being carriers as if people were saying that children were purposefully killing elder relatives.
And for the age group in this current recommendation, 6 months to 2 years, its always been recommended.

A group of doctors specializing in Pediatrics versus a lawyer. Seems like a no brainer.

You mean mouth pieces(group of doctors) for big pharma there fixed that for you! I wouldn’t put that shot in mine or my kids arm but you do you…seems like a no brainer to me as well!

RFK Jr. has reported that, around 2010, he had a tapeworm larva eating at his brain. I think I’ll trust doctors more.

With all the shifting goalposts and definitions these days, what is a vaccine?

Perhaps KBJ can answer this one.

Over 50 vaccinations are now on the Children’s schedule. All you need is a lab coat and stethoscope and people will believe anything.

They get 15 total vaccinations, stop making things up.

mRNA is experimental and seems to be producing questionable effects. Scientists are hoping to see great results…. for their stock options. 😎

Lemme see. Building full of doctors or
brain worm guy who doesn’t even have
his CPR card?
Tough call. 🤪

‘My Body, My Choice’. None of your business.

Not true. Infectious disease effects us all. It is not a private matter.

However, if YOU are vaccinated = you are safe, Correct? Of course……then you’ll tell us about the so called immune compromised who are unable to be vaccinated. You already overplayed your card in 2021………………and you lost.

At this point, why would you need either party to make this decision for you?

Have you seen more kids injured from Covid, or more people injured from the vaxx?

Like all the children who have been permanently damaged by closures of all the schools due to the teachers’ unions activism.

The AAP’s fondness for vaccines may have something to do with their sources of funding:
