The City of Concord’s upcoming paving work on Bailey Road from Myrtle Drive to the northern City limits will start on Sunday, September 7, and be completed by Thursday, September 18, with all work performed at night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. with a full road closure. Advanced signage will be placed about a week before work starts, and detour signage will be in place each night during construction.

Looks like only to the City Limit line. Hopefully, Pittsburg will finish the rest!

It’s about bleepin time!

What other roads can we complain about to get fixed?

How about those streets that run through actual RESIDENTIAL AND BUSINESS streets inside Concord City limits.

No problem under the circumstances! Long awaited!

Oh boy!
Another slurry seal project.

Where did the city get the money for this project?

Every other project takes years to plan and fund.

I’ll bet there is a massive kickback built into this for the City Council.

The US Navy has not fully finalized the transfer of the entire Concord Naval Weapons Station to the City of Concord, due to contamination not being mitigated yet…. but a portion of the property has already transferred to the ownership by the East Bay Regional Parks Department for conservation.
Bailey Rd cuts through that East Bay Regional Park. EBR Park District is NOT poor!

So… will someone explain to me why Concord taxpayers are paying to repair that road East of Myrtle Dr? The only people who truly benefit are those from East County (Pittsburg, Bay Point) who commute that route~~~and the gangs who make their quick get-away back Eastward over Bailey?

This is great news. That portion of Bailey ignored no more.

Omg finally! I drive this road to get to my parent’s house and everytime the potholes are still there and it’s been like years haha so that will be nice to not have to dodge all of those anymore. Sure took long enough.
