Concord Police Department arrested four drivers on suspicion of DUI during an enforcement patrol on August 21, 2025. Those charged with DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, along with a suspended license. Police officials emphasized that impaired driving is not limited to alcohol. Certain prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs can interfere with safe driving, and drivers are urged to carefully follow directions and read warning labels about operating vehicles or heavy machinery. While medicinal and recreational marijuana are legal in California, driving under the influence of marijuana remains illegal. Concord Police will continue holding DUI enforcement patrols throughout the year in an effort to keep roadways safe. Funding for this patrol was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
OKFine, here’s how ya do it . . . . . . .
Check all the usual hiding places, including the toilet tank,
so ya know what supplies to pick up for the weekend.
.
Hardest part shopping will be, after it took all of 90 seconds to get 4 cases
in the cart, you spend another 20 minutes buying a tooth brush and a bag
of chips, so when you get to checkout nobody will think you’re a drunk.
.
If ya live long enough, might get to linoleum floors and metal chairs.
