Sleeping until the alarm goes off. On weekdays, it’s set at 5:00 and I rarely make it. The 30-45 minutes of extra sleep when I make it to the alarm makes a big difference in my mood and energy levels

Brushing my teeth in the morning. It’s a small thing that only takes a couple of minutes and afterward, I’m ready to face just about anything. Exercise makes me feel good too, but that’s not a small thing.
I do that every night when I fall asleep and during the day in between meals.

When just one other person, a stranger gives me a smile or a “hello”. Seems a lot rarer nowadays. But when it happens my mood picks right up right awsy. . I’ve also recently decided that I’m going to try to be that person for others! ( so I’m actually amazed at the number of people that don’t respond or look the other way as if I’m invisible)
I’m that “other” person! I’ll bet I say “Hello” or “What a cute baby you have” or “Nice outfit”. Or “can I help you with that?” every day.

Sunlight and being outdoors. Might putter around the yard a little or sit on a patio chair with coffee, but being out in the morning sun definitely raises my mood and increases my energy.

Breakfast and my very strong cup of black tea. Nice customer’s (of which there’s plenty) after work settle in with a snack a glass (or 2) of my favorite Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc and some of my favorite music to relax too, some cool jazz, Santana’s Black Magic Women, Simon and Garfunkel “Bridge over troubled waters, and my all-time favorite piece of music “Rhapsody in Blue”, that is just a few of my favorite music.
Exercise.

I get up when I wake up, and then I greet and pet each of the hounds on my way to my first cup of coffee.
I remember waking up with a pet dog, miss those days.
hearing them walk down the hallway to sit with you while you have your coffee. Good memories.
Intermittent fasting. You should try it. Period.
