In the early morning hours of August 28, Pleasant Hill patrol officers stopped 46-year-old Quinne McKinnon, a resident of Pleasant Hill, for multiple bicycle-related vehicle code violations. During the stop, officers discovered narcotics and arrested McKinnon on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute. Later that morning, at approximately 10:30 a.m., detectives obtained and served a search warrant at McKinnon’s residence in the 1600 block of Saint Lawrence Way. Inside, they reportedly found narcotics, weapons, and additional evidence of criminal activity. McKinnon was booked into county jail. No other arrests were made, and the case will be forwarded to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office for review.

No, a broken reflector caught the lawman’s eye!
Seriously, I hope the DAs office does something, and not just turns them loose.

Well this is one case where I think Becton can forget about the fix it ticket & just charge the perp for the drugs without us raising a fuss.

Bicycle related vehicular code violations?
Seriously, we’ve stooped that low?
Before long you won’t be able to leave your home
without walking in single file, route submitted
to police the day before while waving your birth certificate
in the air. WTF?

A bicyclist must obey the rules of the road exactly as motor vehicles do.

CVC section 21200 (a)(1) A person riding a bicycle or operating a pedicab upon a highway has all the rights and is subject to all the provisions applicable to the driver of a vehicle by this division, including, but not limited to, provisions concerning driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages or drugs, and by Division 10 Section 27400, Division 16.7, Division 17 and Division 18.

This was nothing but a vehicle stop which happens hundreds of times a day in California. I think you can step back from the edge and keep your passport at home.

The noose just keeps getting tighter
while you think it’s what’s holding you up.
Layer upon layer of regulation, law and tax.
Everytime you get a breath, it tightens.
Maybe a boa constrictor is a better analogy.
Either way, I get panicky when I can’t breathe.
And bubba you definitely don’t want me panicking.

Everyone on the internet with anonymity is the toughest talking Chairborne Ranger since Darby.

Pardon me if I don’t lose any sleep over you panicking.

That would be Cali in a nut shell but I don’t get that vibe from your comment…

Good job LE! Now Bexton – do yours! Full extent of the law!

Hmm, on parole or probation ? ? ?
.
Guess, he was too cheap to buy headlight and taillight for the bike.
Another, non-Mensa member . . . . .

Where the picture of the Bike? 🧐

Drug bike…. probably went to the crusher.

A bicycle vehicle code violation…?? “WTH”……!?!?!?
THEY ARE STUPID TO AN ALL-TIME LOW NOW THAT’S RIDICULOUS..!!!!!

When I was a child…. about 11 years old, A Walnut Creek motorcycle cop gave me a bicycle ticket for turning right at a stop sign without stopping.
I was practically on the sidewalk, but still…. nip it in the bud!

Womp womp! the law is being enforced and a criminal was arrested the sky is falling chicken little…such a pathetic look to shill for a criminal!
