Federal authorities served an arrest and search warrant in Martinez on Thursday morning as part of an investigation into internet crimes against children, police said.
Martinez police shared an alert about the law enforcement activity that took place around 9 a.m. on Bordeaux Court.
The FBI and Homeland Security Investigations, an agency within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, served the warrants with the assistance of the Central County SWAT team, made up of members from several law enforcement agencies in Contra Costa County.
Martinez police said more details about the case will come from federal authorities. The U.S. Department of Justice was not immediately available to provide more information about Thursday’s action.
