People can hide behind a keyboard and be
offensive all day long.
In California I do not feel safe on BART or Muni.
There is a better chance that someone films it,
Facebook live or even does a TikTok dance compared to coming to help you.
Look at the poor North Carolina woman that was
stabbed as she sat listening to her music.
No help, nada just like it was no big deal

No. I consider his demise as an occupational hazard. He knew the risk (that some of the stuff that he has said were controversial and dismissive) and thereby had a crew of security for the protection.
It is sad that someone didn’t like that what he said and went pew pew. Furthermore, it is worse that there are people out there who celebrate his death😔
Charlie Kirk said some hateful and racists things, however killing him is not the answer. Anyone celebrating his death is letting the opposition drag them down to their level, which is what they want. He was a husband and father, his death is tragic, and I believe it will cause more hatred than solutions.
try and I’m paraphrasing that is okay if people are collateral damage in mass shootings if it means we keep our 2nd amendment rights. Or that black women have a low IQ or he would not fly on a plane that had a black pilot as they didn’t have the intelligence to be a good pilot. Women don’t need an education, they just need to serve their husband . The only career a woman needs is to be a wife and mother. There is so much more BS he spewed that I could type all day
We got a live .one here.Show proof or a link he said any of that, and show proof of that pilot thing not being a concern for anyone with a brain.Back up anything you said. You cant.
His comments are available to view for anyone that wants the truth. He said when he saw a black pilot, wondered if he was qualified. he called Martin Luther King an awful person, thought civil rights act was a huge mistake. Said to preserve the 2nd amendment it was worth losing a few people to gun violence. Although perhaps not hateful, certainly derogatory thought women should stay at home and have babies. I think that is enough, I really didn’t want to go into all that at this time, however distasteful I find his comment, he had the right to them without fearing for and losing his life. If you liked him and admired him that is fine but at least be honest about who he was.
@Hanne
You wrote that Charlie said hateful and racist things. Now you write that perhaps not hateful. You also told me to be honest about who he was, when you seem to be having your own trouble with that. I’ve listened to some of his speeches and I didn’t hear anything hateful or racist, but rather someone who wanted to have a discussion with anyone…..free and open dialogue……with anyone. And his thoughts on MLK and the Civil Rights Act do not make him a racist.
posting this twice doesnt make it true or more believable, but this is what liberals do,if they repeat the same lie they think can get other liberals ONLY on board with their fiction, because nobody with an IQ over 100 would fall for this crap.Show when and where that was said.
my last comment was meant for “well folks” that thinks posting the same comment twice which is meant to make liberal children believe it,and will make just make all start voting freak show party.
You’re right, she couldn’t give one solid example of a hateful or racist comment. So far, no one can. They’re putting out tidbits but omitting the substance behind them.
Lets try black women have a low IQ or he would not fly on a plane that had a black pilot as they didn’t have the intelligence to be a good pilot. Women don’t need an education, they just need to serve their husband . The only career a woman needs is to be a wife and mother. There is so much more BS he spewed that I could type all day
The left dramatically suffers endlessly with their incessant rants that freedoms and democracy are being squashed. Then they go out annihilate someone who is exercising their freedom. In other words – they want their freedom, but some others aren’t allowed to have any.
Anyone see the insanity of that?
What was hateful and racist? Just because they do not align with what you believe does not make them hateful or racist. This is the rhetoric that led to his passing, just stop.
he said NOTHING hateful, and he used peoples ridiculous comments and opinions against them in a public forum and made an a$$ out of them with thier own words, and you once again dont know what youre talking about ,or to.
Sorry Paul, the only sentence that you wrote that I can agree with is your last one.
Getting assassinated while speaking conservative should not be an occupational hazard. You are equating taking a bullet in the neck while speaking to students with football players blowing out knees or firefighters being exposed to smoke. This type of violence will continue and escalate for as long as idiots accept it as “an occupational hazard”. Claiming that the expectation of being shot for political beliefs is the norm only green lights wackos on both sides to run amok.
What you are saying is that this is ok and not a big deal. You are wrong in this thought. Shame on you.
Look at the history. Political assassination should not happen but does happen. Julius ceasar, Abe Lincoln, JFK, MLK, RFK, and among others are just some examples. And Charlie Kirk assassination won’t be the last. It is what it is. I just accept the fact and it make life easier.
Yes, he is not a politician. But he does engage in politics like us; most people like his political view and one did not like it and took it to the extreme. It is sad that he is dead but then i am not surprised given something of his comments, which I won’t bring up due to bias.
all done by liberals, even when a liberal was killed.

I feel safe. My political opinion is all politicians suck are liars and hypocrites. The big money makes things move. I leave conversations when people start spouting off non-sense about wars, guns, pro-life, vaccines. Not sure where people get information to feel so confident that their position is the right/only one. People need to understand you don’t matter in the scheme of those things. You can only put your little piece of paper in the mail. If your a lobbyist and backed by multi-billionaires you can make a difference by getting laws changed in your favor.

His death has pissed me off. The response I am seeing from some people who are celebrating the death, or saying he deserved it, or occupational hazard … I have no words for you. You deserve none.
In my gut, it is not whether I feel safe or not, but rather I am now more empowered to speak out about my beliefs. I will not stand by and let the death of Charlie Kirk scare me into NOT speaking up. And as I listen to the youth around me, I think many feel the same way.
People keep comparing the death of the Minnesota Senator and her husband to the death of Charlie Kirk. They say there was no outrage for the folks in Minnesota. I think the reason why is that the Senator stood by and followed the crowd. That Senator did not speak with the people about difficult topics. She did not make a mark on this world – I apologize for the blunt message, but who were they?
Now let us compare that to Charlie Kirk. He spoke with the people. He was polite, kind, did not yell but he spoke about his beliefs (whether you aligned with him or not). He looked for the people who disagreed with him and asked them to come forward so that he could discuss (or debate depending on your view) topics. He was (wow ..was …) a man who spoke of his belief in God, represented God in his daily walk. He represented people who did not follow the traditional college route, yet was still a success by peoples standard (millionaire! & business owner). He spoke with, and was called friend, by politicians celebrity and people alike.
This is why Charlie Kirk’s murder hits harder. We knew him.
So basically you are saying you only care about political violence if it is against someone you personally care about. That solves nothing. The senators were human beings who had people in their districts who worked with them and they were killed in cold blood just like Charlie Kirk. All of it is equally wrong.
Personally care about? Not what I said but nice try.
I do not have much empathy, a well known fact among my friends, for people I do not know/care for. That does not mean I care less about the violence that would occur – again, nice try.
Killing someone is wrong regardless of political affiliation or how much I care for them. What I was trying to get to was why some liberals are bent out of shape because Kirk’s death is getting more media coverage than a senator. The senators may have worked in their community, but again who were they? They were not known nationally before they were murdered in cold blood. Kirk was known nationally the senator was not having community meetings on college campuses to debate topics, Kirk was .
Kirk was known. That is why it hits harder and why the media is playing it more. Let’s put it another way, when Michael Jackson died, the world knew about it … but who here knew about my parents dying?
So Cyn, are you just throwing a jab or do you have anything constructive to state about why it wasn’t a nice try? I understand in today’s world that people like to step in and provide jabs without any context, but generally those jabs are ineffective.
If you want to be constructive, provide a statement, challenge a point, have a dialogue. Please state how it was not a nice try on Hope’s part. My arguement is that people care more about Charlie Kirk’s death over the Senator because they knew of him. It is not about caring about them, it is about knowing who they were. And with Charlie Kirk’s death, people did not just know who he was, but they knew him. He shared his belief’s, convictions and much more.
Sorry to be crass, but who was the Senator? Beyond a few close circle of friends/collegues, does anyone know their beliefs’, convictions or anything like that? What did they stand for? They were human beings, they were murdered, that was wrong.
Again, if all you want to do is throw jabs without context, fine that is your choice. But I would suggest to be part of the solution, you have to discuss with an open mind and if you can not do that, at least discuss a topic.
@Parent
In your post where you said Charlie’s death pissed you off, nowhere did you say, or even allude to the fact that you only care about political violence if it’s against someone you personally care about. But Hope’s response to you starts with accusing you of doing just that, and you said it was a nice try. Hence, my response to you. In actuality, it wasn’t even close to being a nice try and it wasn’t a jab on my part.
They were all killed by left-wing terrorists, and we should all care about that.

Just a quick recap on the last two weeks:
Church full of elementary school students shot up by deranged alphabet person. Left mocks prayer.
Left spends a weekend fantasizing about Trump’s death on social media
Footage released (previously covered up) of young white woman barbarically murdered on camera by repeat black offender who is recorded saying “I got that white girl”. Leftist media questions his motives.
Young conservative leader assassinated in front of his wife and small children. Countless leftist social media accounts (including those of teachers and healthcare professionals) erupt in gleeful celebration.
This is not the same world we went to bed with two nights (let alone two weeks) ago, much as the major American political assassinations and 9/11 changed the outlooks of their respective generations forever.

It doesn’t even cross my mind whether I should be afraid. I have had debates with liberal protesters while they were protesting, and we had a pleasant discussion. At my last job,
most of the employees there were very liberal, and we got along fine. The ones I worked
with knew I’m not very liberal, and it didn’t seem to bother them. They also knew that I’m
not a Republican nor a Democrat, because I have a mind of my own and I do not need a political party to influence how I think. My coworkers knew me as a person, I was well liked and respected because we all worked together as a team, once in a while we would go out
to lunch and enjoy each other’s company.
My motto has always been, “live and let live.” It’s a way of saying we should tolerate the opinions and behavior of others, so that they will similarly tolerate our own. We are all Americans, and have the right to say anything we want, and even when I don’t agree with some of them, I will fight and defend their right to say it.
What happened to Charlie saddened me, and what saddened me even more was the senseless murder of that poor innocent Ukrainian girl on the train. For some strange reason that I will never understand, is how some on the Left find a way to blame Trump for all the
evil happening in our country.

‘Assassination’ is a reach.
But does technically fit.
It is funny to me how both sides
point the finger at each other
and say, ‘No not me, its them’.
Don’t see or don’t care they’re
being manipulated and conditioned.
Merriam-Webster: murder by sudden or secret attack often for political reasons. Where is exactly is the reach?
Seems to me I recall you saying it was best if the government didn’t make you panic. You most certainly implied violence for political reasons did you not?
I did say it was technically correct.
Not entirely sure what you’re going on about
bringing up past quotes, but I stand by them.
Look if you want to mourn a s**t stirring podcaster
and turn him him into some kinda martyr, have at it.
Just don’t bring that nonsense to my door.
You have no idea what my opinions on Kirk are. That is poor attempt at deflecting.
I brought up your quotes of implied violence over the government because it is relevant to the subject being discussed, premeditated murder for political reasons. Assassination.
Robinson acted and you just fantasized about it.
If you don’t like what I said, I suggest you do not read it.
Haven’t ridden Bart for years. Stay out of the City, stay off phone and keep opinions to self.
Young people are so mentally confused with no real morals or values Who is to blame?
Who in their right mind would put a big metal object thru the nose and wear cartoon hair and expect to be taken seriously????
Who? People who want to punish their folks by appearing as repugnant as possible.

I feel that democrats are less safe now but the whole thing makes me sick. The can of worms they have opened includes never being in office again but that was already a given. Then thry can watch 1 of their own get the federal death penalty as they then cry that” killing isn’t right” on the day it happens.
And of course hes already caught, and hes your typical dem, does stuff without thinking of what will happen next, complains about the future, not realizing he doesnt have one.Wow,he sure knows how to teach the world a lesson…

This man asked for open discord “a discussion” you present your facts and I will present mine nothing more. Sorry he hurt some feelings but have any of these narrow minded people ever thought they may be hurting others feelings? I bet not. I did not agree in all he presented but I appreciated him for freely expressing his opinion and getting others to express theirs. That is free speech… you know that thing that people tried to stop during covid and the last four years getting banned from Twitter, You-tube…whatever. senseless stupid action. I can think of a few parallels to this and I am sure there are many. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vP4iY1TtS3s

So, Hope, what you’re actually saying is, only the senators were human beings?
They were all killed by left-wing terrorists, and we should all care about that.
Just a quick recap on the last two weeks:
This is not the same world we went to bed with two nights (let alone two weeks) ago, much as the major American political assassinations and 9/11 changed the outlooks of their respective generations forever.
No….. I’m more concerned about riding BART, walking the streets of SF or Oaktown….
Go to the post from yesterday regarding “small things no one talks about” any Right leaning Republican or Libertarian questions the leftist, Imedi call racist, nazi, sexist, blah blah….The left does not control the narrative. They would like to by screaming everyone who has a divergent opinion. They’re free speech always overrides everyone elses
Hell no, the opposite if anything!!!
If you give in to these sick and evil lefty thugs, we are doomed.
So….an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind? Interesting way that You justify assassinations.
No. Always do my best to use good judgement by listening and quickly assessing the situation.
As a Trainer for the Digital/Virtual side of the Bank, I used and encouraged debate to teach in leadership in various ways, focusing on constructive discussions and critical thinking. It was my job to cultivate leadership emergence in an individual and collectively to create a more dynamic and effective work environment.
You most certainly implied violence for political reasons did you not?
another kid trying to say this isnt as bad as it looks
George is 63. He isn’t a kid.
no George here.
I did say it was technically correct.
Not entirely sure what you’re going on about
bringing up past quotes, but I stand by them.
Look if you want to mourn a s**t stirring podcaster
and turn him him into some kinda martyr, have at it.
Just don’t bring that nonsense to my door.
Strawman argument.
You have no idea what my opinions on Kirk are. That is poor attempt at deflecting.
I brought up your quotes of implied violence over the government because it is relevant to the subject being discussed, premeditated murder for political reasons. Assassination.
Robinson acted and you just fantasized about it.
If you don’t like what I said, I suggest you do not read it.
then door answer that door and quit crying maybe.
Vile disgusting crap…. you never celebrate a persons death, you morn the loss of a human being. You don’t have to agree with people.
Killed for his opinion…….for all the haters, Throw rocks.
The left does not allow you to have an opinion.and thier opinion riddled with emotion are fact ,they believe, and opposite opinions are evil and those saying them need to be silenced forever, for they have offended the chosen ones.
Wow,this ought to win you guys an election,eh libbies? You sure know how to command respect.
