The former Chase Bank site on Clayton Road at Bel Air Drive, across from El Pollo Loco, has turned into a dumping ground. There are plans to make it a new retail hub, as city officials review a proposal to construct a multi-tenant retail building and a drive-through restaurant on the 0.6-acre site. The project, which includes a 1,750-square-foot retail building and a 2,000-square-foot drive-through restaurant, expected to be occupied by Qdoba Mexican Eats, is being considered under the city’s Neighborhood Commercial zoning designation.

There is a plan to build a drive-thru restaurant on this site. Traffic will enter the site from Clayton Road, and exit onto Bel Air Drive; and then, most likely, drivers will try to get back onto Clayton Rd. Seems like another traffic nightmare being proposed, akin to the Starbucks a block away on Treat.
And then there is the question of the litter that yet another fast-food restaurant will generate. It’s not just the homeless who fill our streets and sidewalks with trash.
It’s homeless and all the people we imported from 3rd world countries who brought their 3rd world trashiness and littering habits here.
The sooner the better – lot of talk about plans…haven’t seen any action
The homeless have completely taken over that area and dumped all their crap. That area looked worst than that on Monday morning.
Why not make it into a community vegetable garden?
Sly,
.
It’s not going to be a “community vegetable garden” because it’s private property and the owners have other plans for the property, but you’re more than welcome to purchase the property and build your dream “community vegetable garden.”
Surprise surprise more mexican food. I cant believe it.
The police do nothing about the drugged out losers around concord/ Clayton. I’ve almost hit them multiple times on Clayton road J walking and I’m sick of them. They’re taking up the sidewalks on their bikes action crazy and they should be taken in and ticketed for constantly running in front of cars by ampm.
I support the police policing the junkies. We don’t want them here
Not sure what you want them to do when they are told to leave them alone? Maybe go after the liberal politicians that cause this issue and refuse to let police do their jobs.
A 0.6 acre site, and all that is gonna fit ? ? ?
Sounds more like starbucks at Clayton and Treat all over again . . . .
Hope there isn’t a short radius turn like across the street . . .
.
What will happen to those LARGE trees onsite,
are they being chopped down ? ? ?
Well…. I’m no detective nor am I an apologist for the feral people but that clearly appears to be household trash (a chair… bags of garbage) since when do the homeless dregs bother to bag their garbage?
Trash bags cost money which is more likely spent on drugs & booze.
It probably came from the nearby apartment dwellers whose trash bins are always overflowing.
They steal the trash bags not buy them and yes it is homeless. I work right by the 242 overpass off Concord Ave. were they have tents, encampaments and home depot shopping carts full of crap they have stolen and as a matter of fact they have even crapped right in front of our business door on camera! This is a daily occurrence and yes they do bag their crap up to make it more mobile and easier to fit in their cart but I guess you must be visually impaired given your above comment…
I see just fine.
Ferals only use bags for plastic & aluminum they dig out of dumpsters to sell to the recycling places and for their possessions, not for cleaning up the litter they leave.
Homeless or slovenly low life apartment rabble aren’t a problem around here anyway so you city boys will need to figure it out.
I barely cared enough to comment.
dude, wake up that is homeless trying to not wallow in their own crap, but not succeding
Homelessness is brought to you by the brainless “woke” administration of the past 4 years. It’s their “new normal” which is anything but “normal”. And what about dump fees? Aren’t these services supposed to serve the public rather than punish us for being alive? Watch as the USA follows the downfall like Rome did so many many centuries ago and “you are there”.
Get a group photo of the residents in the area behind that and it will explain it all.
Unless one is commiting a violent crime in the presence of the police to get arrested, then Concord is basically lawless and has been since the plandemic.Someone walked in my front door,i could not tell if it was a male or female or what race,i called the police, they asked if my door was locked.i told them not to feed me that BS,that this is burglary weather or not its locked, but they were trying to weasel their way out of it admitting this was a crime.

At the beginning of April 2020, the City of Concord hired a new Chief of Police. He’s been a large part of the problem in this city!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
