The Contra Costa Humane Society (CCHS) will host its annual Walk for Paws on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in downtown Danville. The dog-friendly community walk begins with check-in at 8:30 a.m. and the walk at 9:30 a.m. Afterward, participants can enjoy the Treat Trail, an open-house stroll along Hartz Avenue featuring specials from local businesses.
Walk for Paws is designed to raise awareness and support for animals in need across Contra Costa County. Funds from registration help provide shelter, medical care, and second chances for local animals.
Registration is $30 per person or $95 for a foursome with early bird pricing available through September 21. After that date, the cost increases to $40 per person or $120 for a foursome. Each registration includes a CCHS drawstring swag bag while supplies last, filled with items donated by local sponsors and partners.
The event will be held at 425 Hartz Avenue in Danville and is open to families, individuals, and their dogs. Participants can walk at their own pace while enjoying a morning of community fun in support of local animals.
