Martinez Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder For Case Initially Described As Intruder In Home

Martinez police announced Thursday the arrest of a man on suspicion of murder for a case earlier this year that investigators initially said involved an intruder at his home.

Kyle Daniels has been arrested for a case that was reported at about 4:45 a.m. on March 15, when officers responded to Hale Court for a report of someone heard yelling “intruder.” Officers arrived and found 41-year-old Oakland resident Dual Moore unconscious with significant injuries. He was taken to a hospital and later succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Martinez police in an initial press release that day said a resident said that someone known to him entered the home without permission and attacked him.

In the ensuing months, police in partnership with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office investigated the case and determined that Daniels should be arrested and charged with murder.

Daniels was taken into custody Sept. 25 and booked into county jail in Martinez.

Police haven’t released any other details of the case and are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Rubio at (925) 372-3454 or erubio@cityofmartinez.org.

I remember when it happened they didn’t reveal much info… probably were suspicious all along but it took forever to finally arrest him on the murder charge.
