I saw the city workers repaving east st. And concord blvd. This morning. Traffic was all jammed up.
glad to see these roads getting much needed work done. All for that “affordable” apartment building.

Yeah, … it was a bit crazy. Will be looking forward to the mess being done.
The other plot of land across to way is up For Sale again.
Hope that isn’t going to be done anytime soon for what was planned, … apartment building.

Im sure more affordable housing will be built across the street. More unwanted people coming to concord.

Affordable new housing is often not that affordable. Why would people that can afford to pay rent, even if it is below market value be unwanted? Aren’t a mix of society, elderly, perhaps single mother’s who work. You are making a sweeping statement, making a judgment without proof.

We have free speech in Denmark. Please don’t tell me about my own country. You are the one being unrealistic, affordable houses is often for senior’s, and working people. In case you don’t know, you have to be approved it is not a free for all. The Manor in Walnut Creek has affordable housing, I use to have clients there when I sold insurance, it is a nice peaceful place, well kept.

I see what you mean Jeff.
The lack of anything noteworthy to say didn’t stop you from commenting because you’re a free spirit & not concerned with having something substantial to qualify every thought you share…let others think what they may of your vapid observations without a care… Yes! you’ve given me a new perspective….. I think maybe I’ll start blurting out many more pointless comments without any reason!
Thanx.

What about the Chevron El Segundo Fire and the effect it will have on Gasoline and Airline prices?

Dr. J Did you find out about the shipping cost of the ketchup? I might want to share it with you, if you were serious about ordering it, depending on how expensive it is.

Cowellian’s first.
Well done, y’all!

I told ChatGPT I woke up as a bean burrito and asked it what I should do. Was not disappointed.

I just noticed that article about the Walnut Festival being in Antioch says it will be held there for a few years until the park project is done. Geez…

I wonder if anyone from Walnut Creek will attend?

The Walnut Creek criminals plan to attend.

Wow! 70+ shots fired and only 3 people hit?
The object is to hit your target not just scatter 67 bullets to the wind!
These idiots watch too many movies… and ammo is really expensive nowadays.
Anyway I’m sure those folks aren’t interested in robbing…. ahem! I mean “attending” the Walnut Festival and even if they do, they aren’t very good marksmen.
I’d say festival goers have very little…. well, not much… maybe not so much to worry about getting shot as they would if they went to an after hours R&B and Chill party at Monica’s…. and don’t forget to lock your car!

Motor Driven Cycles
I know this topic has been brought up before, but it is really getting out of hand.
My definition: If you do not have to pedal it to make it go, it is a motorcycle, a motor driven cycle. Gas or Electric.
The problem I see it that they are everywhere in every direction. Sidewalks, bike paths, bike lanes and in the street with the autos.
Many are driven by children which defined here are probably under 16 with no licenses and no driver training.
These things are a gray area loop hole that lets anyone use them and there appears to be no regulation.
I don’t like to rain on this parade as I had a mini-bike growing up. Taco 44. They were illegal on the street and needed to be licensed if they were on the street.
My concern is that a lot of kids are putting themselves in real danger and there are going to be some sad stories to tell in some families. My sources tell me the ERs are seeing more and more of these related injuries.
MR. MAYOR, Can you address this? Let us know what is being looked at or talked about? It just may save a kids life.

Saturday night fever (no, not really) I just couldn’t help myself and wanted to say thanks Mayor and team!

I watched “The Lost Bus” (AppleTV+) last night. Excellent movie based on the true story of a school bus driver (played by Matthew McConaughey) rescuing school kids from the Paradise fire and dramatizes PG&E for the fire’s cause. It will keep you on the edge of your seat for 2 hours.

Overheard on YVR: “Rush hour starts any minute, better get that lane closed ASAP.”
