All the above-mentioned is nothing more than ho-hum news. By that I mean it’s old news because rising gas prices, government shutdowns, and global protests have been going on
for decades. I even got tired of hearing Charlie Kirk’s name. It’s been over four weeks, and
they’re still talking about him. I wouldn’t mind if they have something new to add, but they
keep repeating the same things about him over and over. Let the poor guy rest in peace.
The most recent news that upset me was the news of Iryna Zarutska, that poor innocent Ukrainian girl that was stabbed to death on a train.
Recent news is the US Mint will be minting dollar coins with Trump’s image. I have a feeling they will disappear just as fast as the Sacagawea and Susan B Anthony coins disappeared,
but the best part is, just the thought of it will turn the Left into a frenzy, and that’s always amusing. Another boat near Venezuela carrying drugs was blown away today, and that’s
good news too. I like seeing the military and ICE cleaning up the crime-ridden cities, while
the lefties are having a fit over it.
And by that logic, so does Nanny. But Hanne is on here spewing socialist nonsense all the time. Maybe she would have been happier staying in her home country.
What logic are you talking about? This is the United States, and legal immigrants have
the same rights as natural-born citizens, There is nothing wrong with being respectful, even with people you don’t agree with. It’s people like you that convinced me to leave the Republican Party and become independent. Too may Republicans are hypocritical, they seem to pick and choose only the amendments they agree with. When I joined the Marines, I swore an oath to uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution against all enemies and to bear true faith and allegiance to it. I take that oath seriously, even with the amendments I don’t agree with. We all have a right to speak our mind without fear of retribution, and that, my friend, is the American way and true patriotism. It’s something we
all should strive to achieve.
I’m going to step out on a limb here and say Oh, please was referring to Nanny‘s right to express her opinion of hanne as hanne had a right toexpressed her opinion about the American People becoming dirty Americans for attacking drug smugglers.
As you have so eloquently shown, Free Speech is not Free from criticism or consequences but it is free from Government restraint.
Correct, I understood what Oh, please was referring to, that Nanny has the same right
to express an opinion. I made my comment, “be nice” because it was done in a disrespectful way, and Oh, please responded with a condescending comment.
It seems to me that Hanne has put in a lot of work and effort to move to the US, and live the American dream, and even though I rarely agree with her political viewpoints, she has my respect.
Sorry, CPT Obvious, but that is not quite true.
Free Speech means the Government can’t prohibit you from saying whatever you want. However, there is no requirement that anyone else has to agree with you, take you seriously, or grant you a platform to speak. And there can be retribution for what you say.
I agree with you completely and to quote myself in an earlier response to Dawg on this very same thread, “As you have so eloquently shown, Free Speech is not Free from criticism or consequences but it is free from Government restraint.”
That said, don’t champion someone’s ability to call the American people “Dirty American” and then in the very same breath get upset when someone responds in kind. It reeks of virtue signaling.
In reality this has absolutely nothing to do with the 1st Amendment. The Government is not restraining anyone’s speech on this forum and the Mayor as the owner of this forum has editorial (censorship) rights and has exercised them. On more than one occasion entire thread on topics have disappeared and as the owner of the sight, that is their right.
If you want to criticize someone’s opinion by all means do so but don’ try and buttress your opinion by trying to wrap it in the blanket of the freedom.
So Hanne… why was a fisherman on the boat with 3 drug runners if he had nothing to do with the drugs?
Why would a fisherman have a speed boat?
Why would anyone believe a claim made by liberal media outlet Occupy Democrats?
Why would left wing fact checkers at Snopes not verify the story?
Why would you accept obvious fake news so readily and drop it like garbage on us?
Just curious.
AI: “Recent US military strikes on boats suspected of drug trafficking off Venezuela have not been accompanied by publicly released evidence of hijacking. However, reports have detailed that Venezuela’s economic collapse has led some local fishermen to be recruited by drug trafficking networks.” The image of the most recent boat would (maybe 🙂 ) indicate the fisherman was trolling for very fast– super fast fish! ?c=original&q=w_860,c_fill/f_avif

It’s actually been a cumulative effect but is more pronounced – our Constitution & democracy is based on independant 3 Branches of government – Executive (President, etc.) Judicial (Supreme Court, etc.) and Legislative (Congress, etc.) …. the Judicial Branch is sliding quickly away from being independant more towards the political leanings of the Executive Branch.
I know what you’re saying and agree—to a point. However, the Judicial, especially the SCOTUS is a see-saw game and always has been. Power in the White House lends Power to the Courts and appointed Judges at every level.
It’s inescapable. And it isn’t Trump…. it’s the system…and he happens to be good at the game.

How about the gathering of all military leadership for a political rally. And telling all in attendance to be ready to fight the “Enemy Within”. POTUS is ready to unleash our military on civilians.
I believe that was a message to putin, jinping and the number of mullahs and ayatollahs that the United States military was no longer an experiment in social engineering, demographic criteria and was now what it is supposed to be, a fighting force that these regimes do not want to f with. A general with my physique would not intimidate a single soldier in our enemies battalions And that was not a rally, that was a business meeting (I have been to plenty where all leadership was present and told how they were to adapt to the new business model), just geared toward warriors..
Apparently, Shawn Carter (oppressed class, billionaire) is in charge of the half time show for the NFL. Expect to see this kind of performer until he is removed from that position, probably only when the contract/agreement runs out. The direction the nfl has taken, no matter to me, they had lost a long time avid viewer/consumer during the kaepernick clown show (bozo hair to match). I really would like to see them bring back the college and high school bands (particularly the drum lines).
deviant behavior leads to a deviant society. Going to stand on a soapbox here but this is no different than the stupid derangement of the feminist movement “calm down ladies we love and respect you” But for years performers were selling the act with scantly clad people then the idea of “you are attracting the mans gaze” came into play. Now they went the opposite way and went all out with the crude as “you own this” (some sort of power, so stupid) and now anything goes. I am not saying everything should be leave it to Beaver by a long shot but play to the target audience and read the room, kids watch this too.
My opinion alone.
Pete Hegseth, “Secretary of War”, ordered every general and admiral to show up at Quantico, Virginia, on Tuesday. Many of these generals and admirals were stationed all around the world in places like Europe, Japan, Pacific islands and such. The costs of gathering these officers on such short notice ran into the millions of dollars. At the Quantico meeting, Hegseth told these far more experienced officers how they should win wars. Hegseth was then followed by Trump, who spent nearly an hour in a rambling political speech. This event amounted to a huge waste of time for all concerned.
Hegseth got it right in that meeting. While it would have been less expensive to conduct the meeting via Zoom or equivalent, the point needed to be made that we’ve got to have the warrior culture at the DoW and have the same high standards for all. It was more effective doing it in person, especially with the CINC there. The only necessary item in the federal budget is the war (defense) budget; everything else is “nice to have.”
Exactly, utter disaster, from the huge flag trying to be Patton, to telling generals to lose weight and beards coming from a guy with his own makeup room in the Pentagon. Also the rumbling of Trump, revealing military secrets by mentioning subs, and the ‘n’ word connection, what an embarrassment.

I think the one that kinda gave me a startle is Mexico. (For all I do know, I also know I know very little.)
It did not occur to me, even with that name, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo might be Jewish. Or that even being Jewish that she is very, very ANTI-Benjamin Netanyahu — AND pro Palestine Statehood and world recognition.
***This week there were huge riots, with many casualties in Mexico City. What started as a anti-establishment~~memorial for the 1968 student upheaval and deaths.
The 10,000+ person march/festival became a RIOT —
with an entire faction of masked (a’la USA) rioters pushing the Free Palestine band wagon.
Burning Molotov Cocktails ETC were thrown at the police. More than 90 policemen badly injured.
(If you pray, PRAY that kind of dirty habit does not work its way up to our streets.
I don’t know why, but it just never occurred to me that Mexico would lean that way.
I will watch for follow up.
I Wonder if very Christian Mexico is really being pushed that far to Commie Left, or did they benefit from some of our very own world-traveling highly paid, professional riot-makers,
