The brown carpet and blue fabric seats on BART. Before the pigs took over.
Also, Disco. Horrible music, but fun to listen to.

Old style cars built without all the bells and whistles. By that, I mean no computer, and
no computer chips, modules, or relays that can and will malfunction. The only options I’m
good with is an AM/FM stereo with a cassette deck, power steering and power brakes.
When it comes to cars, I’m stuck in the past, bring back the carburetor and toss out the electronic fuel injections. There’s nothing like a V8 with a 3/4 cam and dual four barrel carburetors, with dual exhaust and headers pumping up the power and sucking up the gas.
Yeah, baby! That’s my kind of car. Built for performance and easy to work on.
Dawg; I’m with you 1,000%!! … as a retired truck and equipment, and car mechanic, I’m not able to even change the tranny oil in my wife’s 2016 Genesis. I just take it to the local gas station now. I LOVE driving around in my 1956 Ford F100 Pickup (Hot Rod) I drive it almost everywhere locally. It has an Auuugah horn, ET Mags, 350 Chevy V-8 with a 400 Turbo Tranny and really subtle GOAST Flames on the Tangello Orange Paint job; and mellow exhaust pipes. Everyone waves to me in Pleasant Hill, Martinez, and Walnut Creek. Love the Car Shows, and have 22 Trophies on my family room Bar! Still Having Fun at 80 years old!!
Love the old cars! I don’t care much for the generic stuff.
When a computer controlled fuel injected car malfunctions you call a tow truck. When a carbureted car malfunctions, give me a few minutes and we’ll drive it home. There is something to be said for simplicity.

Not sure if it’s what “Outdated” is, but for the last 6+ months the Hershey’s ‘Special’ Dark Cocoa powder is nowhere to be found, … about $8 for a tin. That stuff is awesome, and I’ve tried other brands and they fell really short. Plus, I wouldn’t mind paying $20+ for a cocoa powder if it didn’t fall short too. If anyone knows a really go brand of 100%, without sugar, TIA to share.
Roz, Have you tried Droste, it’s a Dutch company, l use it for baking, chocolate sauce and hot chocolate. I think Trader Joe’s has it. Also Ghirardelli is very good.
Hanne ~ Thank you for confirming Droste is worth trying.
It’s one I wanted to try and will check Trader Joe’s.
Otherwise, I will have to order online to get it.
Tried Ghirardelli, … close but still missing the depth of richness.

My mind. It is outdated, unable to recall information I need it to recall, slow at problem solving and not eager to be as active as it used to be. Not intended to be a joke, perhaps a little lighthearted, but I really do miss its former sharpness.
Read and do puzzles. It’s a great way to exercise your brain and keep a sharp mind.
Reading and puzzles will keep your brain active and improve cognitive function.

Yes, it’s a bit more or less frustrating.
Like taking something apart and put it back together correctly.
Thankfully I can still find lost items for my Hubby.

Reasonably priced utility services where the utility works to keep giving the consumer the best deal. Instead they jumped on the “green bandwagon” and prematurely shut down a lot of sources that would have helped.

I miss when people use to dress up more. The Scandinavian Club own a cabin by Clear Lake, in the summer we use to have big parties (still do, I just don’t go anymore) we sleep out on the lawn, or bring a tent, pretty informal, however for Saturday night dinner everyone would change and put on a nice summer dress or outfit. I like people looking professional at their workplace. We used to have a dress code at Macy’s, black or dark jacket and pants, we could wear colorful shirts underneath or scarves, several years ago they did away with it, now it is back, it does not have to be dark colors, but should be professional looking.
Agree 100%, Hanne. I want to see nice attire on patrons in a nice restaurant. So tired of seeing slobs everywhere, like I witnessed yesterday in Safeway………a teenage girl in a sloppy, baggy sweatshirt, with pajama bottoms and slippers. Really? Just throw on a pair of jeans, for crying out loud.
When I was a kid living in San Francisco, everybody would dress up to go downtown.
In school, we weren’t allowed to wear t-shirts and a leather jacket because the teachers
said we looked like hoodlums. Girls had to wear a dress or a skirt, and boys had to wear
button down shirts and nice pants.

What they’re passing off as cars and trucks these days, is nothing more than a computer
on wheels.
