Not every school – but those with a history of serious problems … but counselors – yes! to all schools that don’t currently have them (if any)

Yes, They should be. Counselors today only coddle these kids.

School resource officers ! ! !
.
Additionally several school employees WITH military training should be
allowed to carry concealed firearms and be required requalify yearly on
marksmanship.
.
Gun free zones are intentionally, target rich environments, as
enticement of mentally ill shooters as they attempt to gain a place
in history their miserable existence would never afford them.
.
Shooters know they’ll have 5 – 20 minutes before a good guy with a
gun shows up to give them a dirt nape. We are supposed to be
assured our children are afforded protection, by placing a
metal sign on a pole proclaiming area to be a gun fee zone.
.
Society would be better served by building mental hospitals and
reversing changes made by Community Mental Health Act,
signed into law Oct. 31, 1963.
.
Which sign should be posted outside schools ? ? ?

50/50 split. They should be a shared resource among the schools in the district. The resource officer will be the first line of defense to prevent any tragedies (fight and school shooting). Counselor take over if any tragedies arise.

Resource officers are great. Building trust with the kiddos as well as keeping them safe.
Academic counselors are fine too.

The children’s parents are their counselors. Schools don’t need counselors period, armed resource personnel yes. I seriously doubt if a counselor is going to confront a gun wielding individual!
