Here’s a video of a coyote having a nice lunch off Rolling Woods Way in Concord today. Lucky coyote, not so lucky squirrel. Thanks to “Z-Man” for the photo & video.

He looks happy, and not mangy like the ones in our neighborhood
A thick winter coat already… look at that fluffy tail!
Nice pelt.
Believe it or not, 2 weeks ago we saw a Coyote, with mange on Concord Blvd, near 6th Street.
Kind of surprised us to see it there.
But was really worried about the gal with the small dog across to street.
Think she final realize it was a Coyote and high tailed to other way.
Just nature doing it’s thing… good catch Wile E Coyote
I saw him or a colleague earlier with a large cat being carried off.
I used to see cats wandering around in our neighborhood. Now that the coyote population has boomed, outside cats have become very rare.
This was on Rolling Woods, across from Vista Point Ln, above Rock Creek homes when I captured this on my walk. This one looked super healthy. The hillside is also littered with ground squirrel burrows/holes, so I am certain they are eatin’ good, in the neighborhood!
Rocket J?
Great video!! The coyote is beautiful. Poor squirrel though. But Wiley has to eat so better a ground squirrel than someone’s pet Yorkie.
Poor squirl.
