John Muir Health’s Concord and Walnut Creek Medical Centers have once again earned national recognition from the American Heart Association for excellence in heart disease and stroke care. The 2025 Get With The Guidelines® and Mission: Lifeline® awards highlight their dedication to using the latest, research-based treatments that improve recovery and save lives. Both hospitals received Gold Plus awards for Heart Failure and Stroke care, reflecting their success in reducing hospital readmissions and helping patients spend more healthy days at home. The Concord center earned Gold Plus status for Coronary Artery Disease STEMI Receiving, while Walnut Creek received Gold, recognizing rapid, evidence-based care for severe heart attacks. Additional honors include placement on the Stroke Elite Honor Roll and Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll for both locations, and Walnut Creek’s inclusion on the Stroke Advanced Therapy Honor Roll. Walnut Creek is also certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center — the highest level of stroke care — while Concord holds Primary Stroke Center status, providing specialized treatment and community education. These recognitions reaffirm John Muir Health’s leadership in delivering advanced cardiovascular and stroke care, ensuring patients across Contra Costa County receive timely, life-saving treatment backed by national standards.

John Muir Health makes Kaiser look like a wannabe good, but not so good system.
Yea I can tell you JMH isnt so good at times also. There isn’t one particular healthcare organization that is any better than another just depends who you talk to their experiences and so on.
Anyone thinking JMh is the cat’s meow from some poll just out ain’t too bright.
JMH has problems also and they always have just like anybody else.
