Happy Friday to all the wonderful citizens in the City of Claycord. This is a post with no subject, you can talk about whatever you want. If breaking news happens (such as a shooting, earthquake, etc.), or you hear about something newsworthy, feel free to post it here.

Father: “Son, you were adopted” Son: “What? What?? I want to meet my biological parents!” Father: “We are your biological parents. Now pack up, the new ones will be here to pick you up in 20 minutes”
Cowellian’s first.
It’s a great day for Scouting!
The Internet is terrible, but the sunrise is spectacular.
Does anyone else think it’s odd that there wasn’t any news coverage about Ygnacio Road being closed on Thursday? There was nothing in the news about the accident, the mess it caused, the power lines, etc. We don’t know if anyone was hurt, how it happened or anything else. I checked KRON 4, NBC Bay area, EB times and, nada – not even Claycord talked about the accident and road closure. Just seems odd.
The local news was only concerned about talking non-stop about the protesta of ICE.
I mean come on how long can you cover protests watching people standing around like buffoons blocking traffic pissing and crapping in their pants because there’s no bathrooms anywhere, they are the new diaper brigades. If you’re going to protest you got to put your diaper on and by the end of the protest they’re literally full of sh**
Probably a city official’s kid at fault, keep it quiet…

But you know what really ticks me off?
I’m watching the World Series and obviously since I’m a Giants fan I hate the Dodgers.
I was delighted to see them slaughtered by the Blue Jays last night, but still the Dodgers had to do their little hip wiggle dance with their hands up high every time they managed to get on base (Like Sean Penn in “Dead Man Walking” did right after he raped the teenage girl) effin’ no class team.
I’m hoping this series is over in 4 games.
BEAT LA!

Hi Mom-in-Concord, this odd thing is the new normal. Since police departments have encrypted their radio broadcast, you’re only gonna get the news that they want you to get and only when they want you to get it. Someday the public will look back and see the amount of power they lost when they can no longer listen to police radios.
P.S I heard from someone that was there that a car overturned and broke a power pole, leaving wires hanging over Ygnacio Valley Road, causing the road to be shut down. The person that caused the accident walked away.
I believe the outcome of the person walking away would have been exactly the same outcome even if the police broadcasting was not encrypted.
Are you really wanting to hear all the news that’s out there especially a traffic accident, you need to reevaluate your priorities.
Clayton 1 take a deep breath and calm down. What I am saying is, I want the ability to hear what I want, when I want to hear it. I do not want to give that power to politicians and the police forces who have been shown to lie from time to time. And unlike you I want to be Informed. Knowledge is power.
Oh I am calm, always calm as I don’t care about the news local or national. My life is just fine not listening to that crap whether it’s on a scanner or tv.
… unfortunately not odd – local communities do all they can to stifle “bad” news…. bad traffic, accidents, theft, strong arm robbery, use of firearms in crimes, etc. I spoke to a senior editor of the EB Times a few years ago and he acknowleged that it id happening with such frequency that it’s no long “big” news the cities have convinced media not to report unnecessarily… true story

The scrambling of Police radio frequencies.
It’s a bad idea.
People need to know what is going on in their own neighborhoods.
It’s a safety issue.
Sure, some criminals listen to police frequencies.
The cost of a modern scanner is prohibitive to most criminals.
In today’s society, information is paramount.
Ask your local city and county representatives to turn the scramblers off.
Most criminals have no problem with “prohibitive” costs….they never said they would buy one.
