Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office Investigating The Circumstances Surrounding The Release Of An Inmate

The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the release of an inmate identified as 20-year-old Isaiah Jamon Andrews of Kent, Washington, from the Martinez Detention Facility.

He was released on October 22, 2025. At the time, Andrews had been held on local charges, a juvenile warrant out of Sacramento, and an out-of-state arrest warrant for homicide.

After Sheriff’s Office staff realized Andrews had been released, we launched a search of the immediate area and confirmed that Andrews was no longer in the area.

The search for Andrews is ongoing by the U.S. Marshals Service. Local law enforcement agencies have also been notified.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Andrews is asked to call
9-1-1. The Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office can be reached at (925) 646-2441. For any
tips, email: tips@so.cccounty.us or call (866) 846-3592 to leave an anonymous voice
message.

On the run for nearly a week before they missed him? !!!
Keep your doors locked.
He can stuff that cootie infested rat’s nest into a knit cap and look like anybody else.
His neck tattoo should be published too.

Well hopefully he went back to Washington, or at least as far as Portland Oregon and the heck out of here!

Sounds like our Sheriff needs to explain why it took him seven days to let the public know he accidentally released a murder suspect onto the streets of our county. It looks to me like he was hoping the guy would have been caught before the public was made aware! Covering your back, are you? Pretty sleezy!

“After Sheriff’s Office staff realized Andrews had been released, we launched a search of the immediate area and confirmed that Andrews was no longer in the area.” And how did you “confirm” that if you don’t know where he’s at? We’re not stupid here!

Every once in a while I ALMOST feel sorry for these kids…. But then…?
Last year, while he was in Green Hill Juvie Rehab in Washington, he and a bunch of other
ferals got charged with assault on custodians, and for having contraband
drugs. His mother was caught slipping him meth and other drugs during a visit!

Well, they did release him just two blocks from the Amtrak station…Express… heading North. Whoooo Whoooooo

Detention personnel are not the brightest (DEI) hiring. This is just fuggin ridiculous he was let out, the personnel responsible for this need to all be fired and and thrown in jail. Hopefully they will never become patrol officers and remain babysitters if not fired.

Interesting. Detention personnel tend to be highly conservative.

Also, it’s clear you don’t understand the concept of DEI. Sad for you.

So…. there must be a job opening at the jail now… right?
Please tell me someone got fired for this.

In the spirit of property tax season is this what my tax dollars get me, Incompetent people who just let criminals go on accident and hope no one notices or is this a new Newsom law that I missed to let criminals go.

Why did it take 5 days to release the mugshot?

It was probably business as usual at the jail after being demoralized by having to release everyone else thanks to Corrupt District Attorney and Judges!

It is time for a new Sheriff. He has got to go! What an embarrassment! Hopefully the US Marshall can clean up their mess!

This Sheriff is a sleazeball who never cared about the department, the employees, or the people he served. He was a complete culture shock from the days of his predecessor, Warren E. Rupf. While Rupf wasn’t perfect, few are; he cared about the department and its employees. This five-day delay has Livingston written all over it. It will be nice to see him go!

Someone needs to be fired.

He sounds like a winner, Need a Sheriff like this here

I turned 21 in prison, doing life without parole
No one could steer me right, but mama tried, mama tried !
Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading I denied
That leaves only me to blame ’cause mama tried….
