UPDATE: Hospice Tree Of Lights Gone In Martinez After Weekend Collapse

Here’s the current view of where the Hospice Tree of Lights once stood on Morello Ave. in Martinez. As we previously reported, the tree of lights had to be cut down after half of it fell over this past weekend. The Hospice Tree of Lights in Pleasant Hill, on Gregory Lane, also had to be cut down earlier this month after it fell over. Sad.

Why no explanation of the significance of a hospice tree of lights? For those of us that
never heard of it, some of us may want to know.

Every day, I learn a thing or two that I didn’t know.
So now I know.

It’s sad that 2 of our older heritage oak trees in the county fell over recently.

Both these trees had lights on them so I wonder if that had anything to do with it?
