Top managers are like leaf blowers. They make a lot of air and noise moving a problem to another place. It stinks.

Used to remind fellow industrial electricians in our shop,
“Engineers and Bosses are provided for your entertainment”
.
After they put forth a particular goofy idea, “You want to do, WHAT ! ?”
When one of their plans ran into difficulty, “WHO planned, this job” ! ?”
.
If, you can’t have fun at work, there’s no use going.
Then again, helps when you have tons of experience and seniority.

Use a vacuum instead of blowing debris onto someone else’s yard

Totally Agree! Plus, not to use a gas blower.
We try to sweep/rack a bunch into a pile, vacuum chip into catch bag.
Then can use the electric blower for the little detail jobs.
But then again, we aren’t doing it as a living/job.
4 homes of the 7 in our Court have yard clean-up from one yard service.
Loud, dusty, and a long Saturday.

Leave them alone! electric blowers are as or almost as loud – they’re the most efficient tool, the gardeners / landscapers are just trying to earn a living….replacing with electric requires several more batteries per day and they are expensive …… leave them alone

And the noisy generator in the back of their truck to charge the batteries!!

I’m not sure why every leaf needs to be removed from your property. I didn’t know anyone with a leaf blower growing up.

My electric blower requires a power cord. It does the job.

A battery powered leaf blower will last 10 minutes before the battery needs to be changed.

The batteries cost around $200 and with regular use only last a few months.

The heavy metals in the battery must be mined and then recycled. Both processes causing pollution. So arguably battery powered is not a greener solution at all.

Rake like your daddy did.

Limit how early they can use them. Also, have vacuums instead of blowers. All they do is blow into the street or other’s property.

Every single day, I listen to multiple leaf blowers for multiple hours a day. How does this not bother or affect anyone else? It’s as annoying as listening to the neighbors dog bark and cry all day while it’s owners are at work… rant over lol

If it’s during noise ordinance hours or operating hours then you have not a leg to stand on. Leave these guys alone who are doing the work that you don’t want to do !

Wow, sounds like I struck a cord LOL

Thanks for the tip!

Outlaw the damn things. Before their invention, we got along just fine with a rake and a
push broom. After paying thousands for a nice paint job, the last thing I want is some jerk blowing dirt, dust, small rocks, animal poop, mold, and other debris on my car.
This happened to me at an auto part’s store. I came out of the store and there was some
clown blowing debris all over the parking lot. Before getting in the car, I looked around and
sure enough, there were a few small nicks in the paint. I went back inside and told the manager, he looked at the damage, and wrote a report, but I had to sue the store to have
the car repainted. Because it was a custom paint job with premium quality paint, the whole
car had to be repainted. If leaf blowers were outlawed, I wouldn’t have had to sue them, and
I wouldn’t have been without the car for three weeks while it was being painted.

No need to Ban leaf blowers. Make a law that they cannot be used until after 11:00 am. Problem solved. EASY

They still harm your lungs no matter what time.

Might be wrong, believe Lafayette got knickers all in a twist claiming
over 90 decibels supposedly being measured something like a half or
full mile away. When leaf blower fires up at my neighbors, figure gardener
is there.
.
Must be a wondrously sublime life, when all there is to be concerned
with is, gasoline powered gardening equipment.
.
Anyone considered, battery manufactures and tree huggers are responsible
for propaganda ? ? ?
.
An when battery for certain devices is overly discharged and won’t take a charge,
will average homeowner, never leaving home, merely toss it in the trash then
sit down at the computer ordering a new one online, delivered next day.
Not realizing person with appropriate knowledge of electronics and SAFE
procedures can get it to take a charge that smart charger will recognize
and begin charging.

ban! AND FINE IF THEY COME BACK. Gavin Newsom said they cannot buy gas leaf blowers in 2025, but they are still doing it. They are not only obnoxiously noisy, but very bad for your health, Only fat lazy slobs hire them to blow their leaves into your yard and down the gutter.t

You just described our Governor.

Psst, Gavin Newscum is obnoxiously noisy too. When can we get rid of him?

I think we have enough laws already. What’s next are we going to stop people from walking dogs because they piss and poop in your yard. The teenager down the street cause his car is loud, people from driving to work because we don’t like traffic or Harley’s because they make too much noise.

Hook everything up to electricity? That solution is not well thought out. Ahem!

We use a rake and a broom. Forcing a neat freak to accept a naturalized landscape sounds okay to me…and I have a fiendishly precise husband, bless his soul. I told him I’d better not see him picking up leaves and twigs in the neighborly sickos’ yard.

Tongue in cheek of course. I tell her we are “greener” than thou and besides they will blow away in a few days. Or mulch. 🤭

Gas leaf blowers don’t bother me. It’s reminds that it’s Saturday morning!

10
7

They bother me, but I don’t let it affect me. There’s a difference. I’m not the leaf blower police. Close your windows or get out and enjoy life. If they banned everything that made noise you’re talking vehicles, motorcycles, kids, concerts, dog barking, etc. Where do you draw the line? As the saying goes, the world doesn’t revolve around you. Get over it.

14
16

t affects your health, sanity and lungs. That should be enough

11
4

Add a muffler, problem solved.
What’s next… smog checks?

To jazz things up on a Saturday at 8am just stuff the end of the leaf blower with a bunch of kazoos.

I don’t mind the noise at all but several of my neighbors use gardeners that run theirs for 45 minutes at every house around me to where I’m to the point I yell over the fence to turn the damn thing off I’m tired of smelling it and yes I do yell it in Spanish!

I’m not fortunate enough to live in LaMorinda or Alamo / Danville, But when I worked in these neighborhoods – The non stop noise from the leafblowers is not acceptable. 8-10 hours per day! Not much different than living next to an Airport, freeway or the railroad tracks for these people.
