While many counties and county equivalents (parishes in Louisiana and boroughs in Alaska) should be broken up into more counties and county equivalents, and most states should be broken up into multiple states, the way these Oregon counties have voted means absolutely nothing, because leaving Oregon to join Idaho will NEVER happen!!! In order for these counties to leave Oregon and join Idaho, it would require both houses of the Oregon State Legislature, the Idaho State Legislature, and Congress to approve this. The Democrats who control the Oregon State Legislature and the Democrats in the U.S. Senate needed to get 60 votes for this to happen will NEVER vote for this, because they’re NEVER going to vote to take Electoral College votes away from a reliably BLUE state and give those Electoral College votes to a reliably RED state.

The bill introduced in the Oregon State Senate to split the state and never made it out of committee, which was mentioned in the video, was introduced by a Republican and not a Democrat, which wasn’t mentioned in the video.

it is not that those stats are unrealistic, but where did you get them, specifically the SNAP ones? I have been looking for data sources to better understand why over 12% of our population is on a federal food handout. To me that number is astronomical.
i did find that the average snap recipient has been on there for almost 2 years … really? 2 years and you still need assistance! Wouldn’t it be cheaper to teach people how to make money, or grow your own, or create a budget and stick to it? I for those of you that say it is too difficult to grow food, it is very easy on a patio, and a backyard, on a balcony, all you have to do is put in a little bit of effort.

To those who want law and order, remember to vote NO on 50 this coming Tuesday. Do not be duped into believing this is a temporary fix. It is no more temporary than all those taxes that they impose on us.
