Concord Plaza Hotel, located next to the Concord Airport, will become The Mariott within the next few months. The hotel was also once known as the Crown Plaza Hotel, and before that, it was the Sheraton.
Now when i pay for a room here i can sleep with the bed bugs and watch the homeless pan handle in the parking lot. Then browse the new cars at the many car dealerships on this road.

Good for them! At one point I thought they were going under…. Marriott can bring it up to date and brand name alone will bring more business
Nothing will bring more business there, Concord is not a destination location. They should bulldoze it and build a Olive Garden!

It could end up being a Sheraton again, since Marriott now owns Sheraton. We recently stayed in the Sheraton at the Milan Malpensa airport and it’s very nice. Not only is is located at the airport, it’s actually in the terminal; very convenient if you arrive late or have an early morning flight.

We used to party it up at the Sheraton back in the 80’s.
Northernmost point of the Herpes Triangle.
In 1973 while go to Jr. college I work nights checking IDs at the bar and downstairs at Shashas lounge. During the Summer. The place was active and jumping. Fun job.

It’s been a dump ever since the Shereton left. I used to love the Sunday brunches there. I’m glad to see a major chain pick it up and revitalize it.
