The City of Concord planted over two dozen trees along the fence line at the George Krueger Playfields on Cowell Rd. That’s gonna look really nice. Good move, Concord.

That’s good news. It’ll be interesting to see how many of the comments spin this negative.

Finally, something people don’t need to argue about. We need more trees!

Awesome!

“A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in”. This is hopeful!

That’s school district property. So not likely that the City planted the trees. Nice effort though. Will look lovely once they mature.

Yes the school is school district property but the city of concord operates the field maintenance and also rents out the fields.

Nice – what kind of trees?

This was all thanks to a grant the city received.

Will look great when they mature, Thanks Concord!

Took the dog there this afternoon for a nice walk around. Trees everywhere, it’s going to be really nice when they mature. There was obviously some thought put into the placement and the variety. There were tags on the trees from the City of Concord saying they were planted to provide shade and and enjoyment for athletes and sports spectators…something to that effect, I don’t recall verbatim.

Nice to see improvements and investment in the future.

They also are planting a large number along the walking trail in Community Park on Cowell.

Another favorite place to take my puppers. He loves chasing the squirrels. There are some really impressive older trees there. The city is doing a nice job maintaining the park that I grew up with.

How about we add some fields for the youth to play on?? We have no turf fields and the grass fields are worse than my backyard. My wife maintains her patch of grass better than the city does.
