President Trump’s popularity is down to about 37-38% depending on the many polls. My Trump-loving, Trump-voting, conservative Christian sister-in-law has finally become repulsed by the man. Of course, with a disabled (but part time employed) adult son, she could never remain on board forever. But she has been on the Trump train for many years and until very recently.
Trump started with incredible popularity and quite positive ratings on inauguration day. His ratings and popularity have been dropping consistently since then. I am still waiting for a full airing of the Epstein files. That will be the day his Presidency is over. Already, his deflection and projection are pretty amusing to watch. I haven’t been a fan of his presidency, but this part is getting pretty funny. The bully is starting to get pushed around. He’ll punch around wildly, but I predict his Presidency will be crippled, if not over, within six months.

Presidential approval ratings do clearly show us two things, the American people are impatient and the creation of the 24-hour news cycle has greatly reduced the amount of time the American public will give a president to act and achieve results on his agenda.

What exactly is it that you define as “the Epstein files?” How is it that “a full airing of the Epstein files” is going to happen? Why do you believe President Joe Biden didn’t have “a full airing of the Epstein files,” especially if it would’ve damaged former and future President Donald Trump?

President Donald Trump has done some things that I like and he’s done some things that I don’t like, just as virtually every president in my lifetime. I’m however very happy and thankful that Donald Trump rid the American Presidency of the Clinton’s!!!

My sister in law was a “Trump forever” person until this term. She is crazy religious and very to the right, but she has a disabled son, She is also lower-middle on the income scale. Since prices have gone up and her son will probably lose his medical benefits because of Trump initiated policies, she is no longer Trump forever.
The President has done a few things that even I agree with (killing high speed rail in California, tightening up the borders), but he has a tendency towards overdoing things, as well as a nasty streak of meanness and vindictiveness. He lets his personal feelings dictate US policy (e.g. tariffs) which is terrible political policy.
I don’t know what is in the Epstein files, nor do I know if they will be fully aired, but I think Trump is scared what might be in there. And if they aren’t release officially, I’m sure they’ll be leaked to the press and public.
Well if your Sister in-law says so I guess the rest of us should blindly follow her down the road to stupidity, thanks for letting us know how she feels. Has she any stock market tips ? That would be a big help also.

Hi Dr.J. It isn’t just the latest poll. From day one, across many different polls (conservative and liberal alike), Trump’s popularity and approval ratings have been dropping. A single poll in time doesn’t tell the whole story. But the trend has been pretty consistent since inauguration day.
I think that as his policies continue to hurt the lower middle class, he will keep losing their support. And while I don’t know what is in the Epstein files, I don’t think Bill Clinton or Donald Trump will come out smelling like roses.

That’s exactly right. Trump is doing what he said he was going to do during his campaign. He also said it can take a couple of years to see great results. He ran on it, the people voted for it, and they are still on board. So many things are already so much better, but there will always be liars out there claiming otherwise.

The health care system in this country drives me crazy. Not system is perfect. Denmark as most European countries have national healthcare. However, in Denmark you can also purchase your own insurance through an insurance broker, so there a choice, which I like. It is not free, but if you choose the national system, you get charged 7 to 10 percent of your income, which makes a lot of sense to me. Everyone in Denmark is covered, and no one go broke due to an illness. No one gets their health insurance through their employer, which gives you more freedom to change jobs or start a business. Yes, taxes are high, but you also have a certain amount of security, when most of your healthcare is covered. Despite high taxes most enjoy a high standard of living, owing a house, often a vacation home, at least one car, often 2, and frequent travels to other European countries (help that the distances are small compared to the US) and other parts of the world.

Denmark and most other European countries who have a national healthcare system, only have those national healthcare system because the United States subsidizes the security and military needs of EU and NATO member countries. If those EU and NATO member countries didn’t have the United States to protect them, as well as subsidize their security and military needs, then these EU and NATO countries wouldn’t be able to afford national healthcare systems. The availability of European socialized medicine is another thing the EU and NATO countries should be thanking the United States of America for funding via subsidizing their security and military needs.
