Concord Police Nab Two Drivers Who Apparently Missed The “Don’t Drive Drunk” Memo

Concord police arrested two drivers on suspicion of DUI during an enforcement patrol on November 20, according to the department. Officers reminded the public that impaired driving can result from alcohol, prescription medication, or over-the-counter drugs, and that driving under the influence of marijuana remains illegal in California.

The department noted that a DUI arrest can lead to roughly $13,500 in fines and penalties, along with a suspended driver’s license. Concord police will continue holding DUI enforcement patrols throughout the year. The operation was funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

I don’t think “I missed the memo” is gonna get them off the hook.
If there’s one thing Cops, Lawyers and Judges love to say it’s “Ignorance of the Law is no excuse!”

Dr. Jellyfinger,
.
Except when it’s the police, prosecutors, and judges violating the law that they’re ignorant of.
