Real – have to have the outdoorsy forest smell & feel of a real tree

I prefer the term human engineered artificial tree myself . . . as said in Bishop’s (Alien Universe) voice. 🤖

We don’t ever see a real Santa Claus… so artificial Santa , artificial tree.
We keep it all traditional.

We use a fake, for a few reasons. First, better half is allergic to them. Second, it is more economical for me to use a fake. Third, I do not like the thought of a tree needing 3 to 12 years (depending on type/height) to grow, just to be cut down to be used for a month. I do love the smell of real tress, but…

We don’t have room for either right now.
Silly as it sounds, last year we did an upside-down tomato cage.
Covered it with green fabric and string of light with tree topper.
Worked great on the bay window seat and was just the right size.
Looked cute from outside too.
This year trying another idea.

Hey Roz!…. Any photos of that “Tree”??

I like going to get a real tree and the smell in the house. Alhambra Tree Farm is a nice experience. Get a spiced cider, look around, bring a tree home. Do what you want, be happy.

You’d have to give me something stronger than spiced cider and alot of it, to blow a couple hundred bucks on a a Christmas tree

OH, it’s fake. So fake, in fact, that you have to pretend that you can see it at all. Years ago, I discovered that if you don’t put up trees or decorations, the Christmas police do not come by to arrest you. After that, there were no unnecessary expenditures of cash or effort on things that aren’t necessary and have dubious value to our no-nonsense household. If that’s your thing, enjoy. Just please don’t try to force me into participating.
