The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide Monday in an unincorporated area of Concord, the office said. Just after 8 a.m., deputies carried out a welfare check in the 5100 block of Laurel Drive and found a resident of the home deceased. Three other people were found with injuries and were taken to the hospital. Detectives believe the case began as a domestic issue when a family dispute escalated into an altercation. There are no outstanding suspects and no threat to the public, the Sheriff’s Office said. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Investigation Division at (925) 313-2600. For any tips, email: tips@so.cccounty.us or call (866) 846-3592 to leave an anonymous voice message.
Very sad and all too frequent in this season.
Peace on earth, goodwill to all.
There is no peace on earth, there never has been nor will there ever be.
Peace on Earth has been replaced with Piece of Earth sadly.
The HOLIDAYS BRING OUT THE BEAST IN FAMILIES.
Holidays have nothing to do with it.
Terrible, to be in a state to do something like that, man, so much pain and suffering for the remainder of there lives.
There is always a trend towards homicides,
murder/suicides and more this time of year.
The Chief of Police where I worked sever
years ago, assigned me many roles when working in the 80’s with Police.
One of those roles was assignment with
Investigators to go to the scene observe only and report to the Chief.
Suicides (2) occured just down the block in our
new home.
When are government officials going to focus on preparing its citizens to understand better how to communicate with each other & resolve their issues? These people, as far as I can tell, were totally …….Ill-equipped and apparently lost of even coming close to sort out their differences…… And then after the fact spend untold amounts of time, effort and money to defend, house and feed them……. They seem to invest so heavily in consequences like courts, prisons but under invest in prevention through better communication and conflict resolution skills ….it appears that political incentives favor reactive over proactive spending and think they’re being tough on crime……… “Where is the beef”?
