We wrote about it back in May of this year. Click HERE to read all about it.

Demographically, it makes sense.
To the casual observer who doesn’t go to SB, it’s no big deal.
The most significant impact will likely be more litter from discarded napkins and cups in that neighborhood.
It might help revitalize that beleaguered shopping center.
Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Also, don’t forget the Dunkin Donuts near the McDonald’s…

Is that three within two blocks

The amount of traffic on Bailey rd coming from over the hill is more then enough to support this location, you think SB just throws a dart at a map? They know exactly the best places to put these stores

Countless people gripe about high prices they can’t afford to buy what they need at grocery stores or high gas prices yet they spend $50/week on Starbucks garbage. Make perfect sense.

The average IQ is not even 100 anymore. So, this tracks.

Isn’t there already one less than a half mile away on Treat?

Oh thank you Santa Claus! This is what my coffee loving heart needed! More burned bitter coffee! Why not open another Peets Coffee? You know, the place with real strong actual coffee?

I ain’t gonna’ lie.
If I wanted advice on coffee, a donut is as good a source as any!

Can’t be talking about Peet’s they are Starbucks light, their product went downhill after they decided they wanted to play Starbucks Jr.

I do wonder how messy this place will be when the high school kids from clayton valley start hanging out here after school. Or before school.

Just go take a look at Dutch Brothers coffee on Clayton road when school is out to see all the clueless adolescents think they own the place, vthe parking lot and the long line to the drive-thru.

That little area never did quite take off. May as well let ‘bucks have a go.

I remember when Alpha Beta and TG & Y were in that shopping center!!!! Fun Times.

11

Same here! I grew up right around the corner on Wilson Lane. We used to walk to TG&Y barefoot in the summertime to buy candy. Also, Thritfy’s had 5cent icecream cones and a pinball machine.
Charlie Krueger had a liquor store there where we ne’er do wells went to buy cigarettes in high school.
Before Alpha Beta it was LoRays. Yeah, I’ve been here that long.

Danny K’s donuts were a rare treat before school but I have great memories of them.

Aww, is Starbucks mad dutch brothers has customers.

I don’t think international Starbucks gives a crap were dutch bros who has a presence in 26 states only has a shop, completely different customer base and why would they worry about chasing Gen Z cash?

You want to see the circus when it comes to town go park in the Taco Bell parking lot for about 20 minutes and watch the circus go to Dutch Brothers coffee next door. Those customers adults and adolescents look about as clueless as they come. They don’t know how to park drive through the drive-thru or get out of the parking lot without causing mayhem.

Another Starbucks? They’re multiplying like flies. What about another Peets?

Another peets would be great.

Hopefully this means they will eventually close the one at the corner of Treat and Clayton? It is a nice building but a traffic nightmare from day one. It creates unsafe conditions nearly every day.

Probaby exactly what it means

When Starbucks first started out in Seattle they weren’t making enough money to keep their stores open so they got the bright idea to double their prices of everything on the menu and people started going there and buying the expensive garbage like crazy. Mentality of the clueless.

Clueless took them international so I will take clueless all day all night in this instance…

These same people made the Kardashians millions. It just proves people are not very smart.

So they made people millions and that is not smart!?! you don’t make any sense!

I’ve never drank a cup of coffee (I don’t like the smell) but the reason the prices are so high is because most customers are addicted to caffeine. Addicts are willing to pay more to get their fix, and the customers let themselves get taken advantage of. Starbucks knows this.

Coffee does not “smell” it has an aroma …. unless it is some of that Starbux crap or other extra strong, exotic mud that the snobs pretend to love so much.
A real cup of coffee like a Folgers or Farmer Bros. the good stuff diners have been pouring for years, that’s coffee. None of that fancy nutty mint caramel flavored crap either.

Folgers and Farmers Bros taste like dog water filtered through used toilet paper but you call perfection as you see it!

Well….
I’ve never tried dog water filtered through used toilet paper but I’ll take your word for it!

One needs to know how to prepare coffee properly. I went through about 4 espresso machines before I got an AeroPress. It was designed by a Stanford professor who liked coffee and experimented with different ways of preparing it. When I was in India in the 1990s there weren’t much of any espresso or cappuccino places around but about every cafe offered press coffee. Now that is flavor!

Yes a fresh press pot or using a stainless steel(no paper filter) pour over yields a much better tasting cup and cheaper but please don’t put that dirt known as Farmers or Folgers in there!

Any word on the philz that was supposed to open at the willows ?

For those who can’t drive a couple of blocks to Treat!
