I have done exactly that, recommended local motels. They used to appreciate the Heritage on Clayton Road I think that’s gone down. But by all means stay clear of the motel 8 on Concord Avenue by market that place is scumsville. For more money they could choose the Sheridan by the airport or the Hilton.
Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa. Our guests usually stay in our home and feel very welcome (we have the room and the hospitality) but the rare occasion where these “insist” on a hotel (privacy), we always recommend the same place and they love it!
Well, that all depends on who’s paying. If I’m paying, the Hilton would be a good choice.
If they are going to pay, then it depends on how much they can afford.
The Hilton for the short stay.
airbnb or extended stay America for the long stay and if they want to cook.
Hilton’s a good go-to.
My favorite non-local hotel is The Dream Inn on the beach in Santa Cruz…walk out of your room onto the beach and a couple of minutes from the boardwalk.
