Senator Adam Schiff said that the woman who was shot in Minneapolis was merely stuck in traffic after dropping her kid off at school.
Earth to Adam, earth to Adam, come in space cadet! But he’s not the only one in left -orbit.. we also have Mark DeSaulnier and Eric Swalwell. All three are an embarrassment!
schiff couldn’t tell the truth if it went against his party’s narrative if Jesus Christ was asking him for it.
Makes sense. Whenever I used to drop the kids at school my spouse also stood outside the car bellowing at law enforcement like a wounded water buffalo……….

After schiff said she dropped off her kid at school, he then made the point of saying that she wasn’t involved in protesting. Schiff said that the same way he said I’ve seen the evidence, knowingly lying and doing it so naturally.

Kristie Noem claimed she used her car as a weapon and Trump claim the officer was run over and taken to the hospital. Minnesota Public Radio posted the clearest video taken by someone at the scene. I would caution viewers before the sound is turned on that there are a lot of f-bombs. The officer in question does not even limp after he shot her.

I don’t think the extent of the officer’s injury has anything to do with this.
The intent to either run him down or to ignore police orders and just drive away is unclear.
She definitely was accelerating toward him and the bullet hole in the windshield is evidence of that, but she also was steering the vehicle hard to the right before she accelerated as though she did not intend to hit him.
The officer’s first shot could be justified, but it seems that he could have easily just jumped back out of the way as well.
The 2nd & 3rd shots did not appear to be in self defense.
While I believe the protesters are absolutely wrong to be interfering with LEOs and they sure do cry hard when they instigate the violence & wind up getting hurt, I think this situation was handled poorly by all involved.
The officer was under attack, so the number of shots is irrelevant.
She turned the wheel to clear the other SUV., and did not realize she was going to hit the Officer,when she realized this and which she did, he pulled his weapon and she could have stopped. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

If I believed my life is in danger,
there’s no way I’d fire a single round.
In fact, as far as the leg injury goes adrenaline can temporarily numb pain which is why people often don’t feel the pain from injuries right away after a stressful event.
How many tire tracks does a police officer have to have over his body before you are willing to let him defend himself?

I don’t care! She started it, and he finished it. She was still a threat as long as her car was still moving.
We need a complete state and federal investigation in order to restore trust in the process. It can’t just be ICE investigating itself. We remember what happened about the Capitol Police investigated themselves following the killing of Babbitt.
What grounds did ICE have to try and stop them and order them out of their vehicle? I don’t care about the peanut gallery’s justification. What is ICE’s official rationale?
And yes, quite clearly the officer limped after he was hit.

Agreed, they were blocking traffic. But why wasn’t the wife arrested when she was out of the vehicle? Or Rene arrested when she was in the vehicle by herself? What changed in a handful of seconds between cavalier taunts towards the officers with the officers not reacting followed by the officers suddenly demanding they get out of their vehicle?
Likely the shooting will still be justified. But increased transparency helps legitimize ICE with those skeptical of this incident.
Specifically, blocking ICE vehicles and leaning on the horn & shouting obscenities (new video I have seen showing what led up to the confrontation & eyewitness statements as well).

Agreed. She was in the wrong in numerous ways. So why not appease criticism by letting the state run their own investigation?
Letting the state run their own investigation would only give the governor an opportunity to amplify his call for insurrection.
Should probably get the ASPCA involved also. That dog in the back of the Honda could have been seriously injured. It’s completely irresponsible to force a pet to participate in a violent protest.

Correction: It was officer Jonathan Ross who drew his gun while Renee Good was backing up.
So what? He shot her as she hit him with her vehicle. Justified.
Let’s not be stupid, Doh. She wasn’t trying to kill the cop, but she did hit the cop with her suv. The cop perceived a life or death situation and shot.
It looks like a big overreaction by both Good and Ross. What matters is not Ross’ actions after Good dropped the car into drive. It’s Ross’ perception of Good’s intent and actions.
It is sad that Good’s actions led to her death. It is also sad that a cop gets pilloried over a righteous shooting. The saddest thing of all is that dips like you see different camera angles of the event and still deny that Good was antagonistic, disobeyed a legal command, drove at the cop, hit the cop- all taking place immediately before the cop shot her. Metaphorically speaking, Good was messing with a snarling dog and got bit.
Good put herself into a difficult and dangerous situation and she paid the price. Because of her actions, Ross is paying the price. As are Good’s friends and family.
Doh you do realize that if someone points a firearm at a Police Officer, the Officer is not required to be shot or shot at before they are allowed to defend themselves.
By the same logic, the officer is not required to allow the driver of a vehicle to runover them over or hit before they are allowed to defend themselves.
An officer is allowed to use deadly force if they reasonably believe they or someone else are in imminent danger of death or serious bodily injury.
That is not the Ah-Ha moment that doh feels it is.

Doh and many others are looking at a desired outcome and then working their way backward to achieve it. This is why when the Courts review cases they do not use 20-20 hindsight as their guild. They use the information the officer had at the time to determine if the force used was objectively reasonable.
