I had occasion once to attend a meeting where Charlie Cook, the editor of the long-standing and well-respected “Charlie Cook Political Report,” was a featured speaker. He was sharing his comprehensive view of the political scene at that time in Washington, DC. Afterward, he happened to join our table for lunch. Predictably, table guests began to ask for his feelings about the strengths and weaknesses of their respective House of Representative members. He had comments about each of them.
